"The staff was exceptionaly friendly. Michael the bartender shared a new local amoro with us. Room was great. All good would recommend. "

"The greeting from the hotel clerk was abrupt. When he told us our room was in the annex, I told him I booked in the main building. He said, very rudely, "I did not book the room and it cannot be changed". The bellhop assisted us with luggage to our room, but, we are seniors, had to walk thru an alley-like street, and hike up 3 flights of stairs because no elevator. This is why I requested a room in the main building. He told us they are avaliable to serve us 24/7; however, I called about 6:30 the morning we checked out to ask for bellhop assistance but was told "thete is only one person at the desk and bellhops don't start until 8AM. We struggled to get our luggage back down the 3 flights of stairs, walked in the hotel lobby at about 6:45AM to see 3 gentlemen behind the desk. I was very upset but did not say anything and only checked out becausethe lobby was full of guests. In addition, when we checked in we were told breakfast is offered for $20 per person. However, after talking with others in our group of 22 people, they were told breakfast was included. After all this, I would never recommend Hotel Monte Carlo to anyone. "

"The staff truly made our trip better with guidance on local authentic restaurants, to suggestions of a daily private boat tour of Venice that runs daily directly from the hotel. The breakfast was delicious with a range of gluten free options and the room was clean and had a wonderful view of the canal-albeit slightly obscured by the construction and scaffolding of the building opposite."

"This place is absolutely gorgeous from the moment you walk in. Conveniently located by the train station, but just enough on a side street that it’s totally quiet. 20 minute-ish walk to the heart of Venice. Water buses within three minutes of the hotel front door. Location cannot be beat. Super friendly staff that made a fantastic room accommodation for me since I had a split reservation. I very much appreciate that. Make sure you book the breakfast because it’s well above average. And having the ability to eat the breakfast in there, lovely courtyard was a bonus. Loads of restaurant options and a delicious gelato shop in the immediate area. And of course you’re walking to the heart of Venice is just restaurant after a restaurant after a restaurant after a restaurant. A+ 10/10. "
