"I have stayed at Jamaica Bay at least six times over the last 10 years. Each time, I have been extremely pleased with the experience. So many things stand out...staff, location, safety, rooms and amenities. Every single member of the staff is helpful and friendly. The hotel is located right in front of the family-friendly Mother's Beach where families spend the whole day picnicking and playing in the water. For those looking for a more carnival atmosphere, Venice Beach is just a 10-15 minute walk. As a single traveler, I have always felt very safe at Jamaica Bay. The spacious rooms are always well stocked with amenities. My room included a mini frig. I got a microwave for a small daily fee. I did not try the on site restaurant this time. But, there are many restaurants, both quick serve and more formal, within easy walking distance. I definitely recommend Jamaica Bay and I will be staying there again."

"Excellent location. Outdoor guest area had great view of ocean. Beach is 10’ from hotel. Do not get booked into the 1st floor rooms, if possible. Especially not #3. It’s right across from the front desk and is very loud in the mornings. Other than that, a great little Venice Beach hotel for a reasonable rate all considered."

"Location excellent, small kitchenette was very useful, room fresh and clean, host staff were excellent and accommodating of our bizarre flight times and were happy to store our luggage until check-in. Rooftop terrace gives a wonderful view of the eccentric Venice Beach Boardwalk Boulevard. Danielle at reception was communicative and informative. Our little family would return here in a flash… if it wasn’t so far from Australia. "

"It was the first time I stay in a hostel, I had my reserves and as soon as I stepped into the building all of them disappeared, “Blue” in front desk was cool and smooth, clear and funny speech, cozy common areas, the bedroom was clean and perfect, the washroom was shiny, breakfast was simple but solid, accessing the building was great, location was super, I certainly will be back to “The samesun, Venice Beach” Cheers"
