Sofitel Philadelphia at Rittenhouse Square

"We had a very good stay at the Sofitel Philadelphia. The location is excellent, and the rooms are spacious, clean, and comfortable. The bed was incredibly comfortable, the bathroom was large.While the hotel feels a little dated, it’s very well maintained. We also appreciated the hotel’s eco-friendly approach and the daily hotel credit, which was a great perk to use at the bar. The only area that could be improved is housekeeping. One day, our room wasn’t cleaned until after we returned in the evening, and only after we called the front desk a few times. On other days, housekeeping would arrive very early, around 8–9 a.m., and if you weren’t ready then, they often didn’t return later, which was a bit inconvenient. We also had an issue with our bathroom sink overflowing. The team immediately offered to move us to another room, which was a thoughtful gesture. We really appreciated how professionally they handled it. A special mention to Ada at the front desk, who was exceptionally warm and helpful. One thing that really stood out was that the front desk staff remembered guests by name, which is a hallmark of great hospitality and made us feel genuinely welcomed. Overall, it was a wonderful stay, and we would happily stay here again."

"We interacted with some great staff who contributed to making our stay quite memorable. The folks at the bar were very kind and gave us ice and water as Philly was experiencing a heatwave during our stay. One quick note, this hotel is very weird about their arm bands required to access the pool. We were not told that we needed to hold on to it (it wasn’t placed on our wrists) and so we misplaced them and couldn’t get another. It was a whole process that didn’t even include an apology at first, just a flat out: you won’t be able to access the pool. So, please be sure to not lose your arm bands if you want to access the pool!"

"This property exceeded my expectations. I only needed a place to stay for one night, so I wasn't expecting anything extraordinary. However, I travel frequently, including internationally, and this may have been one of the cleanest properties I've ever stayed in. The room was absolutely spotless. Everything looked fresh, well-maintained, and meticulously cleaned. I actually found myself wondering what their cleaning process is because the attention to detail was so impressive. The bed was also very comfortable, making for a great night's sleep. While the surrounding neighborhood is simply part of the Philadelphia area and may not stand out, the property itself was outstanding. If cleanliness is important to you, I highly recommend 4211 Suites. They truly exceeded my expectations, and I would definitely stay here again."
