Welcome to Joseph Trails End, the perfect pet-friendly basecamp for your vacation. Escape to a quiet retreat nestled at the base of the Wallowa Mountains. Originally built in the 1950s, this home offers a quintessential riverfront experience. Relax on the large deck while listening to the river flow by after enjoying a bounty of natural splendors right out your doorstep. A grill and alfresco dining set the scene for cookouts at home. The deck is fully fenced with two gates plus there is a small fenced grass area - perfect for those traveling with dogs.

Inside, a rustic design with exposed beams creates a cozy vibe, and a lofted area offers additional sleeping space. Peruse a collection of puzzles and games, or curl up with a good book beside the fireplace with brick surround. The well-equipped kitchen makes it easy to prepare delicious meals for your entire group. Craft a morning coffee using the provided Keurig machine.

Joseph Trails End is the ideal location to ensure access to all Joseph and the Wallowa Mountains have to offer. The cabin is within walking and bike riding distance to the Eagle Cap Wilderness, Wallowa Lake State Park, golfing, fishing, horseback riding, dining at Vali’s Alpine Restaurant, mini-golf, go-carts, and basketball hoops. A 12-minute drive takes you to downtown Joseph’s cobblestone sidewalks lined with larger-than-life bronze sculptures. Enjoy a relaxing day visiting art galleries, specialty shops, sampling locally handcrafted chocolates, and learning about the local history of the native Nez Pearce tribe.

Terrific lodging!
This cabin is cozy, comfortable and has all the amenities you could want! My husband, 2 dogs and I stayed for 4 days and had the best time! Nestled along the river, under the tall trees, the little house was our home away from home. Thank you for a wonderful stay!

Cute, No Nonsense cabin in the woods
Having stayed at 8 properties in Wallowa Lake (South), this one is at the top of the list. We don't need it to be fancy - instead we want what this place has: good games, a cute kitchen, the river close enough to enjoy but not too close to be noisy, a walk to the mini-golf and the trailhead, comfy beds, a nice deck, and of course, a clean place. Honestly wish we'd found this gem sooner. Love it!

Fun Cabin retreat
Cute cabin… very clean. Finding it and checking in were super easy. Decor was fun. Good location. No data and Wi-Fi was spotty — so get your bearings in Joseph before driving to south side of lake. Upstairs is harder to access. Would not recommend this place for older people, but we managed great. Would recommend!

Nice cozy cabin on river
Everything was nice except for dealing with carpenter ants. We killed six and our dog tried to eat one and got bit (or stung). They were in the kitchen, living room & bathroom. Other than that, it was a cozy, cute cabin.
