We stayed for one night, Room 17, the rear annex. Very quiet, comfortable room, the staff were extremely pleasant.
We would certainly stay there again if in the area.
Our stay was fantastic from the moment we walked in we where made to feel so welcome, the food was delicious and the dining room is decorated so tastefully and fresh table clothes and napkins made it a wonderful experience, everything was perfect we most definitely be going again 😀
Cosy feel to it. Well appointed room. The breakfast menu was excellent with some very different choices. The toasted banana bread with orange butter, pecan crumble and berry compote was delicious.
A friendly welcome, great room, comfy bed, nice atmosphere, good food and drink! The location is great at the village is lovely too.
The George is very dog friendly with a park very near for the essential walks.
We are heading back soon!
The staff were very welcoming and the bar was very busy, which we thought was a good sign. The food in the restaurant was exceptional as was the breakfast. Room was also lovely and comfy
The room was lovely and comfortable, well-furnished and spacious. The bathroom facilities were fine but desperately needed an update.
We enjoyed a lovely evening meal but unfortunately chose the wrong night. A couple of big birthday celebrations were happening and the restaurant was extremely busy. This didn’t detract from the excellent food and service we received.
The breakfast was also fantastic, 10/10. We couldn’t fault the staff, who were excellent throughout our stay
The room was very nice, clean and had very comfortable beds. Our 3 yr old simply loved the bunkbed. The breakfast was delicious. They were also very nice to offer to make special pancakes for son. Its location was great too. It was a very nice stay for us.
Beautiful pub and lovely food. We had a family room which looked onto the carpark at the back of the hotel. Very clean and spacious. The only negative was the noise from the generator right outside the window and the heat (I hate being too warm). I'd stay again but request a different room due to this.
This is an amazing hotel set right in the middle of the beautiful small town of Easingwold. The staff were very friendly, professional and helpful particularly, John, Paul, Becks, Katie and Alison. The breakfasts were wonderfully varied and tasty. The pub and restaurant were busy and enjoyful with superb food and a great selection of beers. The hotel is also very pet friendly, We can't wait to make a return visit asap.
We were made to feel welcome as soon as we stepped in the door, our room was exceptionaly clean with a comfy bed and both breakfast and evening meal was of a very high standard.
All the staff were very friendly and took the time to talk to us making us feel very settled in.
The location is central in a stunning village, with lots of free parking available.

Really nice hotel that serves amazing food. Room was immaculate and well presented and bathroom nice and clean. Staff were always polite and helpful. Clear to see why it was so busy even mid week. Dedicated car park as well as lots of parking front of property. Would absolutely use again if in the area. Incredible value compared to some larger chains,
All the staff were super helpful , very friendly , welcoming & professional . Excellent dining & great breakfast. Indeed I strongly recommend the George for a great nights’sleep .
My second stay at The George and very enjoyable. I was given a very warm room at the time of a heatwave but was moved without any fuss when I asked. The restaurant staff were excellent even though they were very busy and the food was delicious. Lovely place to stay. Definitely recommend.
Enjoyed our stay, stayed in pet friendly room, ideal to walk across road to the park. Parking can be a bit tight in car park but no problem parking on road.
One night stay at this busy hotel. We had an excellent dinner in the restaurant and were suprised how busy it was. A word of advice - if your room overlooks the rear of the hotel you can expect to hear loud noise from the kirchen extractor unit which runs from 7am to 10pm and if you're tired and want to slepp or have children beware
