"Lovely hotel. Fairly inexpensive. Very convenient - short distance from major roads but didn't feel like it. Clean but basic. Looked like it had seen better days - clear signs of people trying hard to keep the place clean and fresh but it had a TV from the 80s and few comforts in the room. The only thing that would put me off staying again is the mattress which was the worst I've ever slept on. My partner weighs around 90kg - he lay down and sank into the bed, causing a massive dip. "The hotel is just off the motorway so very convenient for business travel and there were a lot of people having business meetings the bar and dining area. The fitness area was good, lots of equipment but busy. It appeared to be full of local people rather than hotel guests. Food was ok but expensive, the only place to eat with walking distance seemed to be a KFC."

"The hotel itself was very good, comfortable and well designed. The only drawback which was very unfortunate was that there is no car park and one is forced to park in the nearby NCP car park. This leads to paying double. This should be clearly stated when booking. If you're planning to stay here, don't bring your car!"

"I would recommend this hotel for someone wanting a place to sleep near the city centre. We stayed here four nights while we explored and it was brilliantly located for the trains, trams and walking. The lift was out of order when we arrived and the staff took all our luggage to our room for us, after switching us to a room on the first floor. The beds were comfortable and the bar area excellent. "Used the hotel as visiting Birmingham for a premier league game, firstly great price, good location walking from the train station and fairly easy getting home from villa park. Room was spotlessly clean, fresh and modern. Check in was easy and no stress of keys etc , all done on your mobile phone. Will definitely use again next time I’m in Birmingham. "
