"Comfortable stay with pleasant sea view. Only trouble was once the windows became steamed up, from using the shower or indeed just a nights sleep it became more difficult to see the sea. The windows couldn't be opened so couldn't clear the windows naturally. All staff were very welcoming and having been persuaded to go for the hotel breakfast it was a great choice. Very happy with that. Location was excellent, just a short walk into shops and restaurants. Uphill on the way back !!"

"Nice overnight stay with my partner. Room spacious and clean and the bed was comfortable. A little soft for my liking but I did sleep well. Was very thankful for the fan and I’m used to sleeping with one at home. Delicious food…the steak and ale pie was amazing! Thoroughly enjoyed the cooked breakfast before the long drive home. Would definitely recommend the Captain cook Inn and we would be more than happy to stay again. "

"This is a very traditonal hotel in the best sense of that word. The rooms are spacious and we had one with a great view towards Robin Hoods Bay. We had dinner and breakfast and both were very good."
