"Nice hotel with good facilities. Excellent spa and gym. Hotel staff were friendly and helpful. Breakfast was buffet with some options to order from the kitchen. Everything was freshly cooked and warm with plenty of staff to attend tables. We used as a base to travel into Durham. Used park and ride which is only 5 mins on the bus and costs £2.20 return - much easier than the hassle of driving into a city centre at the weekend and trying to find a car park. I would definitely use the hotel again."

"A good hotel with excellent staff and clean rooms. Only let down by breakfast as every item on the buffet was at best lukewarm. I was on a tight time schedule so couldn’t complain and get fresh food. However, surely staff should be checking this, using temperature probes etc? "

"Highly recommended. Staff are fantastic, all meals excellent, the lounge and bar areas are really nice. Couple of minor things easily remedied, window plunder in the room was damaged & ash window would not stay open. The shower head badly leaked and just needs a new seal. We went on Motorbikes and parking was easy and secure with fantastic trips out from the hotel. "

"Good value for money. I think the hotel itself would admit that it isn't a luxury venue but for £55 for the room it was clean and comfortable and I slept well. The decor needs updating. Staff were great and very friendly. Food was excellent. I highly recommend the restaurant. I would stay again."

"We received a very warm welcome and staff were friendly and attentive throughout our stay. Food was plentiful and a good variety. We were given were given a hearty breakfast. Bed was comfortable and location was quiet. The decoration was a bit tired and there was a need for some further plug points in the room so that you could use a hairdryer whilst standing by a mirror. The basin hot tap was loose as was the toilet seat.We did think that the room price was a bit high considering these...

"Brunswick House is a beautiful B&B which is the perfect mix of homely and modern. It has absolutely everything you might need, including an amazing breakfast selection all cooked fresh! The bedrooms were clean and comfortable, and it was great to have a parking space (it is a tight alley to get to the car park just be aware!)"
