This is a fantastic hotel. The hotel is indeed luxurious and the staff could not be more helpful and accommodating. I would definitely return and would highly recommend.

Our pool suite could not have been nicer. The staff was friendly and helpful, and the garage parking was especially convenient if you have your own rental. We would definitely visit again.

Incredible hotel on the whole. All done to a very high standard. We stayed in a river villa, which I would highly recommend. The rooms are incredible. Service on some occasions was slow, and things were forgotten, but generally very good. Staff were all friendly. Good food, although the opening days of the various restaurants is odd, as if you’re not a fan of French or Asian tasting menus you’re only left with 2 options. The location isn’t ideal (only in as far as there’s no opportunity to walk to the beach), but if you’re looking for a hotel getaway and you can rent a car, it’s fantastic. Overall, 9/10.

5 star can be applied fairly broadly sometimes but Royal River is absolutely top class. We were pleasantly surprised by how large our villa was (three rooms - living room, bedroom and very large bathroom and dressing room). The private patio had two nice day beds next to your own pool and there was also a small private roof terrace which got the sun most of the day. The small pool joins a "river" which you can swim along. Surrounded by foliage it is a really unique feature. One of the two rivers also has a hot tub at the end. The hotel itself has two pools. The larger is on the lower level and is very pleasant and a little more shaded. The other is a small infinity pool on the roof terrace with great views out to the mountains. Both have poolside bars. The facilities are all excellent, very new and very well kept / clean. The spa is nice and relaxed and my wife and I enjoyed massages there. There is also a small gymnasium which is slightly limited but well kept. It is the staff that make the hotel however. Everyone we dealt with was incredibly helpful, polite and ultra-responsive and they couldn't do enough for you. From reception to the restaurants and bars and even the maintenance team who all greeted me when I saw them on my way out for early morning runs. A special mention for Marina in the spa who was always on hand with a glass of cava and a smile. Rafa was also very helpful. We loved the peaceful, adults only vibe and would highly recommend Royal River.

An absolute dream. It was a shame we had to leave. Everything from the design and layout of the property, the decorations, the staff and the comfort of it all was amazing. It was like being in paradise for my vacation. The rooms were comfortable and clean. We opted for the two bedroom river villa. The pictures don’t do it justice. We even had our own solarium upstairs. It always felt like we had plenty of privacy and the only time I noticed other guests were in passing on the property and on the terrace during breakfast. No request was too much. The wonderful professionals at the hotel made great recommendations on activities and told us about the area. They were so outgoing. When we arrived, we were welcomed like we had been there before although it was our first time. I know everyone’s experience is probably different but, we were more than amazed with everything! So grateful to have spent time here. Although it’s a bit pricey, the ambience of comfort was more than worth it.
