"Book this resort! The place is gorgeous. The staff go above and beyond. I have stayed in numerous resorts and this one, by far, exceeded every expectation. Our concierge, Marlon, was excellent and did everything possible to make sure we were happy. Karen, Karla, Angel and the rest of the staff greet you every day and are so friendly and helpful. The rooms are spotless. The place smells clean. Food is delicious and plentiful. The drinks are on point. The beach was free of sargassum. The staff really makes this resort and it outshines all others. You will not regret booking this beautiful place."

"Really appreciated Juan's guidance and suggestions on excursions. And Vivian who is part of the activities personnel did a great job with her talk on turtles. However, i do think some other staff need improved training on protecting the turtles from guests who should not be using flashlights at night looking for turtles. I reported another guest for doing this and nothing was done about it."

"Villa Kokobeach is an excellent property — spacious, well equipped, and in a great location. While you shouldn’t expect fully updated furnishings inside the house, it is very comfortable and the AC works well. The kitchen has everything you need and there is a propane grill. The outside is what really makes Kokobeach special, with a fabulous pool, hammocks under a palapa, and private dock. You could spend your entire vacation just sitting out there. The sunrise is unparalleled."

"Just a beautiful home and property. Well cared for. Enriqueta and Pedro quietly work hard maintaining the space. Owner communicated well. He even stopped by to check in, drop off some charcoal and chat about the area. Separate spaces to take in the view, relax, swim and cool off. Every single bedroom has ocean view! Worth noting that there is enough shore to walk up and down the coastline for a while (we walked to the bay to snorkel and hang on the beach) but it is not a wide sandy beach in front, more rocky. Better as a view than beach lounging. Such a perfect walkable town. We love Akumal. And now have a go to spot for the future!"

Reviewer Comments: Our stay at Casa Dos Palmas in Akumal, Mexico was absolutely incredible—truly a 5-star experience from start to finish.We traveled as a group of four adults and three children, and one of the biggest highlights of our trip was Hugo and Eunice, who prepared both breakfast and dinner for our family and friends throughout spring break. The food was consistently amazing, and they went above and beyond to accommodate everyone’s needs—especially the kids. By the end of the trip, they honestly felt like part of our family.The home itself is stunning—beautifully designed, spacious, and very comfortable. Every bedroom having AC made a huge difference, and the airflow throughout the main living area kept everything feeling cool and fresh. The fact that all the rooms face the ocean made it even more special.We especially loved the pool area in the back of the house, which stays shaded until early afternoon—a lifesaver in the heat and perfect for relaxing during the hottest part of the day.Another unexpected highlight for the kids was the yard, which was full of hermit crabs and iguanas. They had so much fun gently chasing and catching them, and of course always releasing them right after—it became a daily adventure they looked forward to.While the beach directly in front of the house wasn’t really swimmable due to being very rocky, and the nearby town beaches were also filled with sargassum seaweed during our stay, Scott, the host, was incredibly helpful and attentive. "having such a beautiful home in a beautiful place was amazing, we’re already talking about “next time”! the property was very comfortable for my family of 13! each room had its unique scenery and design, loved how spacious it was for us and how easy it was to spend time outside with lots of seating and shade, we loved enjoying the views from the pool and rooftop. plus the coconuts and iguanas! really appreciated the on site staff, they were a great help and fun to talk to!we enjoyed exploring Akumal so much, very walkable and new things to see and do every day! golf cart rental is so worth it for getting around too. we went to a local grocery store from the provided list for most meals but La Buena Vida was about a 6 minute walk and was a yummy dinner as well as the Turtle Bay Cafe for the fresh bakery and smoothies! plus the convenience stores were great for snacks and if you go to the pueblo around 5-6pm get the elote!! thank you Michelle!!"
