"Excellent location, good hotel, excellent staff - bathroom a little small but would definitely stay again when in Cork"

"We stayed a night at the Maldron - had a standard double room booked. We ended up staying in a room marked “executive” on the second floor. The room was clean - if average - equipped with a small television, standard tea / coffee kit, and an electric plug in radiator (no air con). The bathroom while also generic, it was dated, with mould and grime all across the tiles, and the body wash dispenser was absolutely empty. A light fixture was also hanging out the bedroom ceiling. For the quality of room in comparison to price of nearby premier inns, for instance - definitely overpaid. Conveniently short walk to city center. Staff on the desk seemed friendly and helpful."

Comparing with our experience in Dublin and Galway with other hotels was not good. The checkout staff was better, too bad that we were leaving already but Franya (I think that was her name) was really nice and helpful at the end. "
