"Nice hotel within walking distance from the Our Lady of Knock Shrine. Not luxurious, but it is clean, comfortable, and with attentive staff. Their restaurant serves a fairly straightforward no frills menu, but quality is very good. Excellent value!"

"Beautiful property, Joyce and Aiden were wonderful hosts. We could tell how much love and care they have for what they do. On top of that, best veggie omelette I’ve ever had during breakfast!"

"Really pretty hotel. Room was very clean and comfortable (signature room 311 on 3rd floor. It had a nice seating area in a turret. Breakfast was quite good with lots of options. We only ate dinner in the bar not the fancy restaurant and the food was okay though a bit salty. we felt service was a bit haughty which was unexpected as everyone on our trip has been so welcoming. Maybe they just don't like Americans here as the front desk staff was dismissive on separate occasions. Even so, I would stay again."

Greenfield Lodge Hotel Bar & Bistro

"We really enjoyed our stay at The Greefield Lodge in Headford, IE. We found it to be an older, rustic lodge, but the overall lodge and our room was clean, although a bit sparse, and the beds were very comfortable. We also appreciated the tea and coffee service in the room. Crystal, the manager, was amazing! She was so helpful, professional, and friendly, and also served as our bartender and server. Her husband, Stefan, is the chef, and his food is outstanding! They both made our stay very enjoyable and memorable! We also loved that the lodge is located so close to the water, with amazing views, especially from the lodge's restaurant."

"This hotel is a nice relaxing place to stay in. Staff are the best, food is excellent. The shower is the only problem, they need to move the shower curtain rod away from the bathtub to give more space when using the shower."

"My wife and I spent a month at Anam-Samh (Tranquil Soul) this past August. The locale is beautiful and remote. We spent each morning looking out over the lake watching the sky and water change with weather and time of day - always wonderful. The house is well equipped for those who cook; many pots and pans as well as spices, etc. My brother and his wife joined us for a week and a half and it easily can accommodate more people. The home is equally near to MoyCullen (SuperValu and Lidl for groceries and many shops) or Oughterard - also good for restaurants and shops. Galway is 30 minutes away and we went there a few times. Other attractions easily driven to are a driving trip around the lake; a trip to Cong and Ashford Castle (where the movie Quiet Man was filmed); Cliffs of Moher, the Burren; Aran Islands; driving trips around many bogs; excellent seafood and dining every where but very notable at OGradys on the Pier in Bearna; Moran's Oyster Cottage; Kirwan's in Galway and Powers Thatch Restaurant/Bar in Oughterard; great meal at Pullmans (one star Michelin nearby); a boat cruise on Lough Corrib via Corrib Cruises; flying hawks at Ireland's School of Falconry; walking at Rosscahill Woods Trail, to Carrowmoreknock ferry, Knockmore ferry and so many other rural areas. We loved our time in Ireland and the home was a great place for us."

"A magical stay near Bracklagh — perfect for familiese had an excellent stay at Tigh Mhic in Bracklagh with our two boys, and it’s easy to see why this spot is so special. The quaint country road leading to the cottage set the tone right away, and we were delighted to find Shetland ponies and surrounding farms just outside — a real treat for our kids. A local cat took a liking to us during our stay, and it became one of those small, unexpected moments the boys still talk about.One of our favorite surprises was the hidden bar in the cottage — such a unique and special touch that made the stay feel even more memorable.The location was ideal for us, as it’s close to family in Cloonfad, making it easy to combine a relaxing cottage stay with visits nearby. The host was incredibly kind and went out of their way to help us find the house, which we really appreciated.We’d happily stay at Tigh Mhic again and recommend it to any family looking for a peaceful, scenic base in this part of Ireland."
