Absolutely gorgeous hotel. Very luxurious. Top of the line. Made me feel like royalty. Room was so beautiful. One of the best hotels I ever stayed at. Also the restaurants were world class. I highly recommended this hotel to anyone traveling to Belfast who wants absolute luxury. 5 stars

    Very disappointing

The hotel and staff are very nice. The Jazz bar restaurant which is usually very good let them down badly this time. We arrived on time for our table book for 8:30. We were told the table hadn't been cleared as the previous party had stayed too long. We were asked to take a seat at the bar until the table was ready. As we sat in the bar I watched the head waiter seat two other couples. I spoke to him at again at 9pm. He had obviously forgotten about us. We were shown to a table by a very pleasant waiter who took our drinks order and eventually our food order. The drinks arrived and my wife's starter sometime later. At 10pm our main course arrived. At this time I requested some water for the table and another glass of wine. The meal was very poor. The venison which I have enjoyed on a number of occasions at this restaurant was tasteless and very sinewy the side dishes we had ordered never arrived nor did the water we had requested. The wine arrived some time later as we were waiting for our dishes to be cleared. When the waiter returned to take the desert order without us mentioning the food he apologised for the quality of the meat and advised us our desert would be complimentary. My wife's desert arrived and after this we were unable to gain further service even when orders were taken from the tables immediately to our left and right. After several attempts at attracting the attention of the staff I had had enough. I felt the evening was ruined so we left.
