This was our third time back at the Bluebird as it's in a very convenient location off the M6, and the breakfast is excellent! The staff were very very friendly and helpful.
The Bluebird was, as always, excellent. Charming staff, excellent service, good unpretentious food. The rooms are spacious and the beds are comfortable. Well done for getting it right.
Definitely recommend this place. Have been before but this overnight stay exceeded expectations. Great staff, great food, great room. Will definitely be back.

A reasonable choice for a short stay
We stopped off at the Bluebird for one night following a wedding in the area. We chose the Inn for the location, which was on our route and very convenient. We were able to check in early and very easily - the bar manager was very pleasant and helpful. The cleanliness of the room left quite a bit to be desired. The bedding was somewhat stained, the window panes were mouldy and equipment for hot drinks needed a wash before use. However, we overall got what we paid for and had no issues with parking, noise, broken amenities etc that would have hampered our stay.
Was sadly only there for 1 night as a place to crash after a nearby wedding. The place was lovely, the staff couldn't of been any kinder and accommodating. Breakfast was lovely. Would drive the 6hrs to come back for a few days stay for sure.
This is the first time I’ve stayed at The Bluebird Inn. It was a first class stay, well-deserved, thanks to the staff, who are friendly and welcoming. The rooms are excellent, and the overall vibe of the hotel is perfect. I’ll definitely be back. Plus the breakfast and meal on the evening was amazing
Great wayside inn, good selection of food, real ale, very smart, clean rooms. Lovely freshly cooked breakfast. Friendly, welcoming staff. Nothing to fault.
We stayed here as a base for a family wedding, using 5 rooms. Everyone said how good the pub was and the rooms were lovely and quiet.
My husband and I had a meal on the night of arrival which was excellent. The staff were all very pleasant and helpful.
It was nice to have plenty of tea bags and milk cartons in the room instead of the usual 2. Very comfortable bed.
Can’t fault it at all.
Would definitely recommend over the nearby garner hotel as we dropped someone off there and it stank. Sewage works opposite behind some trees.
Consistently good. The food isn't gourmet but it's not trying to be. The food is wholesome and always extremely hot (beware!). The rooms are an excellent size, nice bathroom and well serviced.
An excellent hotel, rooms are clean, comfortable and well equipped with a great shower.
Food was superb and great value for money and a good selection of good ales.
Will defiantly be booking again when next in teh area.
When i enrered the oub, the lady was serving soneo e drinks, she said she would be with me next at the recpetion area. I went down and then a lady came up to the bar and she was served next, leaving me hanging! I ordered the mix grill, the ham was over salty, the chicken burned, steak ok but small, sauage awful and frozen chips! Room had narks on the wall that had been there sonce our last stay 8 months ago! Glass in the room was dirty and so was the sink. I will not be staying again!
Nice BnB on then side of an pub. Breakfast very nice.

Can’t get passed the cigarette smell.
Despite the contemporary decor and comfy beds, we could not get past the incredibly strong smell of cigarettes in the room. It made the place feel dirtier and made us feel uncomfortable having our small children sleep within it. Had we not arrived so late, we would have quickly checked out. The smell was strongest in the bathroom. Walking in made us feel sick and felt the need to hold our breath, I’ve never smelt anything so strong.
The beds were comfy and the room was quiet and dark. The room wasn’t the cleanest and did need the paint work touching up. It’s such a shame, the smell needs sorting out.
