"My wife and I have stayed here a lot. We live about 90 mins away in Chester. Basically we use it as a retreat from the city weekend madness. Tourists, races drunks, noise? Here, peace and quiet. We stay in the garden rooms overlooking the hills towards Blackburn. Gardens are beautiful, lounge small and reserved. Staff mainly Asian are all very nice, respectful, efficient. Breakfast a la carte very good. Restaurant very smart looking over the gardens. Bar area small and quiet. Star of the show is the spa and pool! Won't spoil it for you, but you've just got do it! Not cheap, but me and my wife we book 2 hours, she has a couple of treatments, I just float around in the whirlpool, 5 different saunas and tea and biscuits later. What's not to like! Take your time booking. Weekends not worth staying as being near a major Asian business city, Blackburn, Asian weddings can take the place over and affect service. Personally, we go between a Sun-Tues. Cheaper and quiet. 30 mins drive from Clitheroe, lovely Lancashire town and the Holmes Mill entertainment complex. Cinema, amazing food hall, small bowling alley for the kids, and for me the star of the show...the Bowland Brewery. One of the largest real ale bars in the country. Easily 39-40 beers on regularly. And food all in a renovated mill. Amazing building! Don't wait! Just do it! We do! "

"When I arrived, I was shocked to find a major leakage from the toilet flooding into the hall. I immediately informed the person who gave me the key so that the place was unlivable, but they dismissed me and they told me “take it or leave it” — extremely rude and careless.Because of this, I had no choice but to book another property last-minute and ended up paying an extra 200 out of pocket. This was not just disappointing, it was outright unacceptable. The property was unfit for stay."

"I have already text you regarding our stay it was not a hotel it was a air bed. There not enough room to swing a cat. There was only 1 towel and one beaker and no toilet roll. The outside stairs to the were dangerous. We only stayed one night as my husband nearly fell twice trying to go to the toilet. We need you to contact us so we can complain. We would like a refund for at least one night. If not both. This definitely is not a Hotel. The outside stairs were not safe the handrails were loose. I am 66 and my husband is72 so it was hard for us with health problems. "

"We stayed in this location approximately two months. The location cannot be better. Right by the Blackburn Mall. Shops are incredibly convenient. Bus and train are right there as well. The manager is very friendly, but sometimes hard to get ahold of.Now, onto the negatives…First of all, the lift was broken. It had apparently been broken for over six months since we got there. Angry residence were leaving signs on the lift to beg for it to be fixed. The ceilings are probably 10 feet high, so you can imagine how many stairs you had to walk up just to get to the first floor.We were promised a washer and dryer combo, but the dryer did not function. We were told it would be replaced, but it never was. Instead, they just gave us a rack to dry our clothes on. This was after I had spent a lot of money at a Laundrette and had to demand some of that money back.It was mostly quiet, and the building next-door was empty, so there was no one there are making loud noises, but there were occasional parties in the building, and they were very noisy.There is absolutely no place to put your shower items inside the shower. Only outside. Also, the lighting is not adequate enough for shaving. Taking rubbish through the bins means walking through the entire building, which is huge.No key to the mailbox. Management said they did not have one.Finally, only two windows in the entire flat. Only one of them opened. The other was locked."
