"Clean large room - happy helpful staff!"

"We were a bit concerned when we arrived. The receptionist was not terribly friendly nor welcoming. We wondered if we were at the wrong place. We deposited our bags in the room and headed to the dining room. We were greeted by Haley, who made up for the initial greeting we received. She was lovely and so friendly. We were treated to wonderful dinner and wine. The restaurant is lovely. At breakfast we met Meg, who was as wonderful as Haley. Check out was smooth and easy with Allanah. We will definitely return!"

"Absolutely loved our stay. The staff are so helpful and looked after us so well. Especially the lovely lady who looked after us each morning at breakfast. We were sad saying goodbye to her on our last morning. We loved our room and treated ourselves to room service one of the nights and that was top marks. We ate in the bar another night and down in the Cottage too, couldn’t fault any of them. The only thing that could have improved our stay was the temperature of the pool. Okay for us adults but found it was too cold for our toddler. "

"The perfect location to explore Galway and Mayo counties and the beautiful wild Atlantic coast. The Gate Lodge is clean, warm and well appointed, set on acres of Irish country side. Our host was very responsive."

"Staff was very nice. Hotel well maintained. Pub had good food and breakfast provided had a variety of options. We were nervous about driving between the 2 buildings (it was narrow) to get to the parking, but it wasn't too bad. Definitely would stay again."

Went through everything and missed nothing. Hense the reason he is 5 star if 10 Stars were avaliable he would deserve them. Dont miss vour chance to stay off the Grid in the quaintest cottage in Ireland. We will be back"
