This is a very old property which has been sympathetically modernised. Spacious bedroom with lovely soft bedding. Good selections of tea, coffee and other drinks in the room. Staff were very attentive and the evening food gave good options on the menu which were well presented and tasty . We would stay again.

Lovely old inn very convenient for Bristol airport. Comfortable room with good facilities. No car park but easy access to free parking. Stairs up to rooms may be a little difficult for some, especially if handling luggage. Arrived on a Sunday & although I had checked availability of restaurant menus, there was very little choice. Will, however saved the day with excellent customer service & the chef certainly knows how to cook a superb Sunday lunch. Will definitely stay again.

Room was great, as was the food, but accommodation was let down by a messy backstairs access that is also used as a storage area = poor impression. Also, to charge extra for tea/coffee with breakfast felt a bit cheap; have never encountered that at other b&b pubs. Two areas for improvement!

Very cosy
Manager and staff were very attentive and nothing was too much trouble. Old property but managed well and my room was very clean and comfortable. Being an older property and it was -4 on one of the nights I stayed , it was a bit draughty despite the radiators being on full blast. There was an additional heater in the wardrobe which was very welcomed. Food was delicious on both evenings that I stayed there. I would definitely stay there again.

Fabulous cosy country pub and hotel
Wonderful find and we were sad it was just 1 night before we went to the airport. Food fabulous. Service excellent and everything you could think of provided in the room!! We will definitely be back but for longer next time.

An absolute Gem, located In a small town outside of Bristol, two night stay, staff were accommodating and friendly, excellent service. Room were Ideal for a few nights stay, cosy, comfortable. Slept very well! Would definitely recommend and be returning myself.

Short trip to somerset
Booked this place at last minute as previous booking cancelled. Location perfect - right in the centre of the village. Handy for local shops. Room really clean with everything you need. Huge bathroom. Really good shower. Loads of hot water. Restaurant nice. Good choice of food. Excellent service

Poor all round - will not stay again
The room was cold and had to ask for the heating to be put on. The bathroom was very small and access was through two small doors that had noisy latches and a fan that couldn't be isolated so ran when used during the night. whoever thought the doors were a good idea must be mad!! There was a band on the night we stayed - ok its a pub and this happens - however nothing was said when we booked - a case of we have your money and we don't care! Breakfast - a good job we weren't in a rush - it took the best part of 45 mins to arrive and then it was just about warm - dreadful service in the morning - the girl clearly had an attitude of not wanting to be there. In all i wasn't impressed at all as the money we paid kind of indicated it woukd be top notch - it just wasn't!!

Perfect!
Perfect for my stop-over on the way to Bristol Airport! I wish i had arrived earlier for dinner in the bar. beautiufl village, really lovely clean room. Will definitely stay again.

We stayed with a group of friends for 4 nights. The rooms were clean & spacious. We ate in the restaurant on 2 nights & the food was of a generally good standard, breakfast was very good although service was a little slow but as we weren’t in a rush it wasn’t a problem. All the staff were friendly & helpful & they were able to make some decent cocktails, the passion fruit martini being particularly good. The pub itself is in a good location & there are other pubs/ eateries within 5 minutes walking distance.

Very happy with our stay, staff were welcoming and helpful. It was warm in our room, I requested a fan and they bought it to our room. The rooms are comfortable and clean. Around a 10min drive to Bristol airport. Would definitely stay again

A great find. It is a little 'Harry Potter' as you walk through a cupboard to get to the bedrooms but the rooms are lovely - really nicely done with very comfy beds, lovely linen and fluffy towels. Quite noisy as the room is on the High Street - but I always travel with ear plugs! Staff were all great. Forgot to say - Room 3 toilet seat was broken!!

Excellent Place to Stay
Very warm welcome and great place to stay, locals all friendly and great company. The room was very clean with crisp sheets on the bed. Food was excellent and good value, nice selection of wines again reasonably priced. We will be staying at this great place every time we come tom Somerset.

Chew Magna is a beautiful and quaint village, close to both Bristol and Bath. Rooms tie into a friendly and welcoming pub/cafe. Staff is wonderful, rooms are secure and comfy. The village is accessible by single lane roads with turn outs, a road that is a caution during the best of times.

The access to the bedrooms is through a broom cupboard filled with cleaning materials. The professionalism of the staff was not great, some of our straightforward dinner order was forgotten and we had to remind the bar staff. The bedroom was very cold.
