Bourbon Orleans Hotel

10/10 Excellent

"I stayed here while visiting New Orleans for the Krewe of Boo parade. Upon arrival, a gentleman outside kindly helped me with my luggage and directed me to the front desk, which was a great first impression. The moment I walked into the hotel, I was impressed by how beautiful and classy it looked. The lobby also smelled amazing! The location was wonderful! There were plenty of restaurants, bars, and attractions within walking distance, making it very convenient to explore the area. I booked a balcony room, which was pretty basic. There really wasn't much of a view, other than being able to see Bourbon Street off to my right. I was hoping for a little more considering I booked a balcony room. Unfortunately, the comfort and noise levels were my biggest complaints. The bed wasn't as soft as I prefer, and the pillows weren't very comfortable either. The nighttime noise was terrible, which I somewhat expected being so close to Bourbon Street. However, I could also hear people moving around in the room above me, guests talking in the hallway, and doors closing. The soundproofing could definitely use some improvement. One thing I really appreciated was the housekeeping communication. Whenever I had my "Do Not Disturb" sign on the door, I would receive a text letting me know my room hadn't been serviced because of the sign. I thought that was a nice touch! And for those wondering about the hotel's haunted reputation, I'm happy to report that I didn't experience any paranormal ac"

Hotel Mazarin

10/10 Excellent

"This was our second time staying at Hotel Mazarin and we love everything about it! Staff was excellent, it's walking distant to everything in the French Quarter and Canal street! The room was spacious, smelled good and was cleaned everyday. Noise wasn't bad at all since it's so close to Bourbon street and they turn the large fountain off at a certain time at night so you can rest if your room is facing the large opened courtyard. Breakfast is free and good each day of your stay and it is served in the courtyard which is nice. We'll be staying at Hotel Mazarin our next visit."
