Swissotel The Bosphorus Istanbul

"The best thing was the Bosphorus view of my room, which was very calming, peaceful. The room was quiet, insulated from the noises around and had an interesting unusual shape. The room was clean and efficient and the cleaning crew were very helpful and pleasant. The spa and massage experience was excellent. The outside pool was very pleasant as well. The breakfast was good but ended too early for people spending vacation in the hotel. I missed it most of the time. Thankful for the cafe inside and outside for late risers like me… overall I enjoyed my stay and will really missed the view."

Sultanhan Hotel - Special Class

"The hotel is very well located in Sultanhamet. It's off the main road in a square which means it's in a quiet area (although obviously if there are police/ambulance etc sirens blaring away you do hear them). That said it is a 2 minute walk to the main road and the tram line and 5 minutes to the Blue Mosque. At first the hotel looks a bit dark and dowdy but that's really just the lobby. My room was bright and airy and nicely decorated with a good shower. They also upgraded me so I had a small terrace with a view of the Bosphorous and if you looked hard enough you could just about make out the tops of the minarets of the Blue Mosque. Terrace was fine and you could use the table and chairs. The room was a decent size for the location (you have to be realistic given the area), it had a TV (there were some English language channels), fridge, kettle etc. Decent black out blind. I didn't need to use the AC. Staff were welcoming and helpful. Breakfast is on the top floor with a fantastic view of Istanbul, . Breakfast was very good for this type of establishment. It's buffet style but containing: boiled eggs, scrambled eggs, fresh fruit, local sausages, fresh bread, cereal, yoghurt, local cheeses, local pastries coffee machine, fruit machine (OJ, apple, cherry- not fresh but if you want fresh you need a different type pf hotel or go buy it in the local market). it's not the Four Seasons so don't expect an omlette station but very good all round. I didn't eat lunch there."

Carina Gold Hotel and Restaurant

"The staff were amazing. My husband fell on the way into the hotel and they took such good care of him. They got him a seat, water and bandaged a cut with such care. We are very grateful to them for this then they gave us a coffee until our room was ready (which was only 10 mins) and took him up to our room in a wheelchair The room was spotless and spacious and very nice. Outside the hotel we were only a couple of minutes walk from shops, restaurants and the trams so it is in a perfect location. Breakfast had plenty choice and the restaurant served a delicious chicken kebab. When it came time to leave they had booked our taxi which arrived on time A perfect choice and if we return to Istanbul we will certainly go back. Many thanks to all the staff."

"We had a wonderful stay at Triada Hotel. The location is beautiful, peaceful, and very quiet, making it a perfect place to relax and unwind. It’s definitely worth the money, and we really enjoyed our time there. The only area that could be improved is the breakfast menu, as having a little more variety would make the experience even better. Apart from that, everything was perfect. We would happily stay here again!"
