"Close to Eurostar station which was why we booked. A cool refreshing respite from the heatwave in London. Would stay here again."

"Good central location very close to Russell Square tube station. The hotel provides great value and high standard of accommodation. However, our stay coincided with a high Sunmer temperatures in London and the bedrooms have no air conditioning, although a fan was provided, but this inadequate. During the booking process there was no reference to there being no AC in the bedrooms. I’d recommend this hotel but not during June through August."

"I felt safe here travelling by myself. The room had lovely air conditioning which in the middle of a heatwave was very welcome! It was clean and comfortable. Very quiet from people noise but obvious tube train rumblings every few minutes were sometimes quite noisy. Would stay here again though."

"Great property in proximity to Holborn station and surrounding amenities. The staff were really helpful, respectful and courteous. Would definitely stay again. I booked one of the windowless rooms which was as advertised albeit a bit smaller than in the pictures but nothing unexpected. Very clean and great air-conditioning for the heatwave"

"We have stayed at the Bedford marines over a number of years. As always, everything was perfectly acceptable. We were worried that our rooms were going to be too hot during the heatwave, but the addition of fans in the rooms this year ensured that this was not the case. Garden view rooms are best, as they are much quieter than those at the front. Clean rooms, excellent breakfast, and lovely helpful staff! Hotel is in a good location - walking distance to Euston station, Covent Garden etc. We really enjoyed our stay."

City Sleeper at Royal National Hotel

"This hotel is better for the budget than a lot of nearby hotels. The location was fantastic for us because we were leaving from King’s Cross on the train. As other reviewers have said, the room is small and there is no air conditioning, but there was a fan and that was enough. The room was clean and the bed was comfortable."
