"Careful with the pictures shown. Not all of them belong to the rooms on offer. I was made believe I was booking a big room for a lot of money and hot a much smaller one for a lot of money. Very deceiving. There was some clashing information from hotels.com and the management of the room. I booked it more than a month in advance but only was sure I actually had a room two days before going. Very stressful. Saturday evening, loud music until 2.30 am. Won’t book again."

"This is a solid, very nice mid-tier hotel. Nothing fancy but great for an affordable stay. Its location is excellent, right next to a major underground stop. The only disappointment was the restaurants: breakfast buffet - decent not more; Hell’s Kitchen - well presented, but pricey and not very flavorful, and Lirica - below average in many ways. Bar was terrific however! So best to go elsewhere for dinners."

"I had a pleasant stay overall. The room was clean, tidy, and fresh, with innovative use of space. The standard room is ideal for a solo traveler or, at most, two people. However, there was no refrigerator or mini fridge, which would have been useful. The staff were friendly, kind, and helpful, although the lobby was occasionally short-staffed. Breakfast was a highlight, offering a filling English breakfast and a good selection of healthier options. At £9, it was excellent value for money. The Wi-Fi was easy to connect to and offered decent speeds. The main drawback was the air conditioning, which repeatedly defaulted to 21°C despite my attempts to raise the temperature, leaving the room feeling too cold. The hotel's proximity to public transportation was very convenient, making it easy to get around London and explore the city. Overall, this is a great hotel for a short stay, offering a clean, practical place to rest for the night and enjoy breakfast in the morning. Despite a few minor drawbacks, the friendly staff, good-value breakfast, and convenient location made for a pleasant experience."

"An off the wall choice but definitely worth trying. When travelling for business I get into Kings X at 11pm, so when you just want a bed and a clean place to have a shower the next morning, why pay £250+ when this is 10 mins taxi from the station and £90 for a night. The pods are fine (almost therapeutic in their seclusion) and they spend money and time making sure the showers and changing rooms are luxe, clean and well maintained. Would recommend."

"I had a great stay as a solo traveller. I always felt secure, there was plenty of hot water, the room was clean and comfortable (I was upgraded to a King room which was very kind). It was easy to order room service and quite quick, and I was brought some ice a few times for my drinks which was much appreciated. The breakfast was good plentiful, and had great variety. The only "downside" was noise from the street some nights (Bedford side) in which loud conversations from the nearby bowling alley patrons dragged on after midnight (perhaps they could ask the alley managers to let patrons inside or remind them to be quieter? I realize it's not in the hotel's control). I would definitely stay at Tavistock Hotel again. Thank you!"
