"We booked this hotel for the location and the view, and neither of them disappointed: we were truly just steps away from Tower Bridge & the Tower of London, and had a fantastic view of the Bridge and the Shard. It’s also a short walk to the Uber boat, which was really fun for getting around the city. As for the accommodations themselves: the bed was extremely comfortable, had a nice crisp cotton duvet cover, and gave us good nights’ sleep; and the room itself was generally in good shape, though the woodwork and upholstery is getting a little bit shabby. There were no electrical outlets by the bedside tables, which was a bit of an inconvenience, since both of us travel with devices that we use as our alarm clocks. The room was not perfectly prepared for our arrival: the phone wasn’t working, there was an extra twin bed in the room that we hadn’t requested, and somebody’s little stuffed animal had been left in the room. However, when we asked for help with these issues, they were resolved within 20 minutes by very attentive staff. The concierge was extremely accommodating and helpful with a couple of things we asked about, including getting a taxi when it was time to depart. In April 2026, the lobby was under construction, which could be extremely loud during the daytime; however, we were out of the hotel for most of the day each day, so it didn’t inconvenience us badly. It’s not the finest hotel accommodation I’ve ever had in London, but we were satisfied with our experience."

"This place isn’t fancy or full of amenities, but it is consistently clean, comfortable, convenient and really good value. I’ve stayed here twice, almost 3 years apart, and it remains a charming option in a busy area full of overpriced hotels. The staff is super friendly and kind. I would stay here again. "

"I was a little disappointed in our stay. The hotel and room was very tired and in need of an update. In the morning the windows were running with condensation. The windows let an awful lot of noice through and I was awake for the 3 nights listening to the roar of traffic. The restaurants attached to the hotel were very expensive and not of the best quality. I’d recommend finding somewhere else to eat. On the day of leaving we were in a rush and needed a taxi. They said to just wait out in the forecourt ans taxis arrived every few minutes and they wouldn’t specifically call a cab. After a 15 min wait we left, turned onto the road and flagged one down immediately. Very underwhelming experience. It was ok at best."
