"Funky relaxed hotel with a bar downstairs and very quiet room, but I had to wait ages to check in, my room wasn't ready, was left sitting in the bar and had to keep asking for my room. Once allocated, it was very clean, arty and a bit different, there was a Marshall amp so you could play guitar, mobile things hanging from the wall by the bed and what looked like a block of ice lol for the toilet and shower. Ice Bear from We Bare Bears would approve. I found it really cold the air con, especially at night, heating had been switched off, normally in this boiling weather Im fine but I had to order a fan heater as I was shivering and had pain in my hip from the window. I did switch the air con off and reception did say theyd put the heating on for me. Thats not something I've had before, actually Im usually sweltering lol. There was no chair in the room, just a stool, and tea and coffee had to be made in the corridor, they had a very nice selection of brews but I had an early start and had to drag myself out and down bleary eyed and decidedly not bushy tailed to get a coffee lol. It is a very nice, arty and clean hotel the key cards are beautiful and its super quiet being in a side road but for me it was just too cold for some reason."

Crowne Plaza London - Kings Cross by IHG

"Good hotel but: It was during the heat wave in July and even if the AC was set to minimum the room was still warm. A ventilator was already in my room and it helped but would have slept faster and better if I was able to get the room to be cooler. 2nd negatives is the gym which has only cardio, no free weight, bench or weight machine. Rest is A-1"

"Pleasant traditional English hotel located at a shady square in the heart of London-Bloomsbury. Easy walk from both King's Cross and Euston Station. We had a basic twin room, which was small, but clean and comfortable. Stayed in London during a heatwave and although our room didn't have aircon, we had a fan and thick curtains to keep the sun and heat out. Could also open the windows to let the night air in, so lack of aircon wasn't a problem for the one night we stayed. Rooms seemed soundproof, didn't hear our neighbours at all. Pleasant and helpful staff, we stored our luggage before check-in as we arrived early. All in all, would stay here again."

"It’s a lovely hotel, and was super convenient for me re my trip. I had a room at the front which was noisy as there is a junction with traffic lights right outside. I did the hotel’s survey and they suggested I book a room with no windows next time. I chuckled to myself, as even prisoners get a window in a cell!"

"Nice location. Great staff. Ken was very helpful when I was checking in. I feel like the amenities weren’t well explained so I missed things and found out later. Also it was really hot and I had a small fan only to keep me cool. I tried to open the windows but being on a busy street, it allowed the noise to come in so was tricky situation at night. But I would stay here again. Good price and convenient for a three night stay. Lots of food options and easy transport options nearby. There was always a staff at the front desk."
