"Our stay was absolutely wonderful. Room was clean and fridge always stocked. The staff was so nice and kind and polite. The only thing I was suggest is to provide a little more american food at the buffets. Otherwise highly recommend!"

"Our room cleaning service was impeccable...our cleaning lady Francesca is a credit to her profession and an absolute doll! Every employee we interacted with were exceptional...from our Butler Henry who was so incredibly attentative, helpful, and professional, to our dining servers Jesus and Aleandro to name a few that made us feel welcome and special every single day. Lastly...when you have a swim up bar...the service can be dicey, but when it is being provided by Leandro, he is second to none! Thank you to all the employees that made our vacation at Colonial Majestic so incredible...we will be back!"

"Great place to spend a few days with family or friends! Fantastic amenities, loved the shows, right on the beach. Had a bunch of long skinny pools because there are so many swim out suites. Very easy to get beach chairs and beds are free, unlike most resorts. Food was mixed, but you can definitely find a variety of tasty stuff (they cooked us a meal by request). Not sure what we should’ve had our butler help with, but he was very communicative. The room was clean, the bed was comfortable and we loved having a private hot tub on our roof — that’s something I haven’t seen anywhere else. "

"Occidental Caribe resort over all was very good, but our butler, Juan Carlos is who made our vacation EXELLENT. Juan greeted us at check-in and assured us that he would take care of all our needs, Juan was true to his word! We were a family of 14 in 6 rooms, and Juan remembered each of us and our room numbers. Juan also greeted us with voice message every morning, made our reservations in restaurants, stopped by to visit pool-side, and even personally dropped a friut plate the night befor we left. Juan was fun, friendly, efficient and dedicated. Juan quickly went from staff to friend to family. Thank you Juan Carlos!!! We have stayed in Barcelo properties in the past and have always had a wonderful experience. We could see signs of age in the rooms but we could also see the commitment to update as well. For example, one of our party saw an elevator full of new beds, and staff working diligently in rooms. Our only disappointment was the quality and variety of food. We didn't go hungry by any means but that is the only area Occidental Caribe could improve. Thank you everyone for making our family vacation wonderful!!!"
