"It’s ok, personally wouldn’t say it’s a premium 4*. Rooms are a little dated. You can see the poor maintenance. Lobby/ breakfast area - that’s where some money has been spent on a refurb. Rooms - need more attention. I did enjoy breakfast, albeit - would probably choose somewhere different next time."

"Excellent hotel just a short walk from the city centre. The room was spacious, clean, and quiet. I didn’t use the spa, but the breakfast buffet is very good value. There is parking behind the hotel but there is also Dumfries Place, a large multi story car park, about 5 minutes away."

"The staff at the hotel were really friendly and very helpful with offering to store our small amount of luggage for the hours before and after our overnight stay - thank you. The breakfast was good and again here the staff were really helpful. Room was spacious and clean and air conditioning worked well. Worth the extra few steps from the Wales Millenium Centre to stay in this historic building."

"Pros: buffet breakfast (since is a little walk to other restaurants/cafes), very helpful and kind staff, good location close to bay, hot water with good pressure, price, A/C Cons: dated rooms, bathroom grout badly needs cleaning, dirty drinking glasses in room I'd probably stay there again if on a tight budget. It does look like a lot of construction is starting in that area though so check for noise and traffic."
