"Really lovely little hotel right by the beach. The staff were very friendly and took us to our room, explaining everything from the keys, the breakfast and the facilities. The area is a really peaceful, quiet place with a lovely beach and fields to walk around in and explore. Highly recommend this place to anyone"

"Nice and idyllic old pub, rooms above which were quiet enough when I was there on a Friday night. To be honest the pub itself was relatively quiet. Parking at the rear which was free. I left early (6am) and didn’t get to experience the breakfast."

"This has obviously been a grand place in days gone by. Loads of wood and a beautiful ornate glass window on the stairs. The room was comfortable and pleasant. Breakfast was very good. The bar was a bit of a let down - poorly maintained. The food there was hearty and reasonably priced."

"A lovely hotel and restaurant close to the Lancaster canal and the M6 motorway. Food was excellent and breakfast was included in the price. The bed was very comfortable and the room was all to a high standard. We took a dog and they provided a bed, bowls and treats. There is plenty of free car parking. The staff were very helpful and attentive even though it was busy over the weekend we stayed."

"Lovely owners who have run this place for over 40 years. It is set back in time, early 80s and an education and experience of that. However does have Wifi and central to the Town. I was upgraded to a larger room with en suite without asking which was a nice touch. Pleasantly surprised with the cost that it included breakfast, I had porridge, fruit juice, cooked breakfast and toast. All floors have stairs which would not be suitable for the less mobile."
