Andy was kind and responsive, the other guests were friendly, breakfast was delicious and easy and we could walk down to the town of Portmagee or over to the Kerry Cliffs. Our room was comfortable and peaceful. I would stay at Seagull Cottage again without hesitation if I am in this part of Ireland again."

Breakfast was better than expected and the wait staff were friendly. Don’t expect an elevator and you will not be disappointed. One side note, the hotel is accessible from the mainland by a ferry service or from a bridge at Portmagee. If you plan to take the ferry, be mindful of their hours or you will be taking a 25 minute drive around to the Portmagee bridge."

They own a farm about 1/2 mile away which raises a rare breed of pigs so all of the pork entrees were great. They also own and run No. 35, the top rated restaurant in Kenmare. My wife commented that this was the best hotel she’d ever stayed in, not because of the outside, but because of the staff on the inside."
