"We really enjoyed our time at the Catalonia Royal Tulum. Our expectation for this 4 day trip to the area was to relax and enjoy the time at the beach. This is exactly what we did. Everyone from check in, wait staff, bar tenders, room service and stewards where friendly, polite and went above and beyond. The grounds are well kept and clean. The pool area was great with a swim up bar. The food at the buffet was really good (we never go to an all inclusive expecting great food) and the specialty restaurants were really good also. The grill was our favorite. I did utilize the free room service for coffee in the mornings. We flew into the new Tulum airport and it was about 1 hour 20 minute drive. It cost $194 for round trip transfer. it's about 20-30 min drive either way to get to Playa del Carmen or Tulum so you'll pay about $40 cab each way. Lots of cenotes close by though. The beach was great. We had great clear water the first day and then the infamous seagrass came in the last 2. The team keeps the beach area clean. Loved our stay and would for sure come back. "
