The May Fair, A Radisson Collection Hotel, Mayfair London
8/10 Good
"Gorgeous property, very friendly staff. Just a couple of issues.
1) Had booked a twin room with adult daughter. Was told on arrival there was no twin rooms available and given a king room and could have ‘pillows down the centre’?!. Not great a great start. Why have an allocation of twin rooms available to book if the booking cant be honoured? People book twin rooms for a reason.
2)Had issue with air con in room keep switching off. Someone did come and look at it late at night and it worked for a short while but then switched off again, so not a great night’s sleep. Maintenance fixed it next day, so better for the next few nights
3) No teaspoons provided for the cups for makingby tea/coffee. Didnt mention it as had already complained about no twin room/air con and thought they’d be replaced following day, but they weren’t so used a pen to stir. Just a minor niggle but something basic that should be right"
"Overall, we had a wonderful stay and would highly recommend this hotel. The location is excellent, making it easy to explore the surrounding area. The rooms were very clean, comfortable, and well maintained. The Room Service, front desk staff were friendly, professional, and always willing to help. We also really enjoyed the restaurant and bar, both of which offered great food, drinks, and service. The breakfast had a good variety of choices and was a great way to start the day."

"The room was a nice size and the air conditioning was great since it was needed. The breakfast was a selection of scrambled eggs and eggs over easy, bacon, sausage, croissants, pancakes, breads, yogurt, fruit and cereals. Coffee, teas and juices also. Well worth it. The amenities in the room were hand soap and hair shampoo. There wasn't a closet or furniture piece to store your clothes. I chose a room with a king size bed and it was comfortable but it was up against a wall so you needed to climb out if you were on that side. They did add this small push out area that had 5 hangers. (Not quite a closet). Our clothes were in packing cubes on the floor. Also, no safe to lock passport or valuables so we used our suitcase and locked it when we went out. That's the only reason I'm giving it 4 stars. I think a shelving piece for packing cubes or one dresser would have made a difference."
"i had a great stay at this place since it was only for two nights. the staffs were helpful, accommodating, the lobby was spacious to chill, talk with your friends, and i loved how it was in the SOHO area.
nonetheless, if you are only staying for 1-2 nights, and a solo, this would be ideal for you. again, you only get a pod - your nest which is a small private room. additionally, there are not many amenities included in your stay, e.g., microwave, fridge, but they have towel, good wifi, and AC.
overall, i had a great stay and sleep."
