"Fantastic place to stay, unwind and be at one with nature! Not quite in the middle of nowhere but close enough. There are shops locally but we took what we needed for our stay so we could get away from everything. We ditched the car and walked everywhere. We stay all over UK in these type of properties and this one is far superior, in our opinion, than many others we have stayed. There are some great walks and lots of activities nearby and a visit to ye older ferrie inn is a must. As with anywhere in this area to get the most you have to prepared to be a bit active and there are a few steps required to get down to the cottage but definitely worthwhile. "Our second stay here and excellent once again especially as the owners kindly accepted a change of plans due to one of our dogs requiring medical care. The house is clean, warm, tidy and well thought out. Parking is plentiful and easy. Access to the forest is literally across the road directly onto a path that has not changed in the 50 years I’ve been walking it. Beautiful location completely spoilt by the classic/abandoned cars in the front garden making it unsafe for children and dogs. Field next door is similarly blighted. "If you want to get away from the hustle and bustle of everyday life, this is the perfect place! We had a relaxing and luxurious break at the Congrove Barns for our honeymoon. The property is cosy, stylish and well stocked with kitchen equipment. The beds are incredibly comfortable (& huge!) and the living space is relaxing and comfortable. The hot tub is also a great treat, along with the large bath in the master bathroom. Overall, a truly idyllic spot for a getaway."
