"Once we got into the hotel, it was first-rate. The problem is getting into the hotel was a nightmare, when I finally found the hotel because a three-inch square card on an unpainted door is the only name on the building. To add to the problem, no one at the businesses on either side of the hotel knew where it was. In fact, but for the fact another guest came out when I tried for the fourth time to enter (no one is on duty inside the hotel), I wouldn't have gotten into the hotel. And for that, I also bear responsibility because there were instructions in a message from the hotel about where to find those tied to the hotel (and outside Old Town) who can get one in."

"The Akademis Gariste was perfect for me. The cab dropped me off at the Pile Gate. The driver called ahead and the hotel sent a porter to greet me. The Akademis was just a short walk from the Gate. My room was beautiful and the service was excellent. My thanks to Diana, the receptionist. She was extremely helpful and kind. I would definitely reccomend this hotel."

"The location of this room is perfectly situated in the heart of the old town. Restaurants and shops are all located within a short walk, just know that the town has steep stairs, particularly on one side of the main pedestrian street. One thing to note is that the restaurant on the narrow alley opposite the front door and room windows can be noisy into the night. Bring ear plugs if you are a light sleeper. The host provides them complimentary as well."
