As others have said, the outdoor area of the casita is excellent, giving the feeling of backing onto a Mediterranean woodland and is more extensive/prettier/brighter than the pictures. There are plenty of both sunny and shady spots and a plethora of good, supportive chairs and loungers, and we were well protected from the fierce cold wind (something which properties on the cliff certainly were not). It was also incredibly private and peaceful and again compared very well with other properties in the area. (We live in rural south wilts so are very “picky” about this.) Although the road into Ciutadella passes close by(totally hidden by vegetation and walls), we rarely heard it although this may be different in busier times, birdsong principally being the only sound during our stay. Ideal for getting onto the coastal path in both directions. Although the pool was chilly given the weather, I enjoyed using it. We ate out in Ciutadella in the evening although there is a good gas barbecue. The small kitchen, was sufficient for our needs and would be for those eating outdoors. All appliances functioned well. However, it would probably frustrate those who want to do more sophisticated catering for large numbers (who does on holiday?) and are confined indoors by wet weather. Similarly, the bathroom is of a certain age but everything still works very well. Hooray, a loo with a good flush for once! No noise or extraneous light at night so good for sleep. As others have said, the best beaches are 10 minutes drive and have excellent water clarity. The casita was clean and tidy and Miquel and Juana were excellent hosts and it was great to be able to practise my Spanish. I would definitely recommend this property to family and friends except those who demand the latest fashion in interior design or those who need a shop nearby or a direct access sandy beach.
