"The house has everything you could need for your stay. It’s so nicely presented and in a village with 3 pubs/restaurants to choose from. There’s plenty of walks in the area which some fantastic views."

"Staff lovely and friendly as always. Rooms lovely though my bedroom floor was a bit dusty and in need of sweeping! Nice toiletries, though only 1 decaf coffee and no decaf tea in the room. Food is great but evening menu had very few vegetarian dishes all including mushrooms I was really disappointed with the choice. The lovely lady serving was very sympathetic to my poor choice. Breakfast great with lots of choice for veggies. I love this place including the staff, though would check ahead the veggie options in the restaurant if making a special journey to eat there. "

"I had a wonderful 5-day stay at Byre Cottage in North Yorkshire. The cottage is beautiful, cosy, and full of character, with a lovely fireplace that made the evenings especially relaxing and warm. The location is absolutely stunning, set between peaceful farmland and rolling hills, surrounded by nature and wildlife. Waking up to the fresh countryside air and quiet views each morning was truly refreshing. It’s the perfect place to relax, unwind, and enjoy the beauty of the Yorkshire countryside"

"The property is down a 3 mile track that needs to be driven down with care as it is narrow with few passing places, personally we had no issues with this. The property was clean, modern and well equipped. The silence was deafening but was most welcomed, the beds were immaculately clean and comfortable. We went out everyday to different places, so found lots of things to do. Our dog loved the venue and was able to go in every pub in the area, most places are dog friendly which was a bonus. The only negative albeit minor was insufficient information re heating and water switches. All in all if you are looking for a slow, relaxing break in breathtaking countryside then this is the place for you!"

"Absolutely stunning scenery, proper middle of nowhere location with footpaths and bridleways galore. Our dog particularly enjoyed the extended walks. The barn is really well done throughout, plenty of space in all areas to relax, and we loved the simplicity of the rules - no extra charges for the dog, more firewood for the log burner just left in covered bins to help yourself rather than being an extra charge. We would love to come back again!"
