The bathroom and sleeping room floors were dirty upon arrival. There was smudges of toothpaste on the sticky bathroom floor. There was something gritty like sand on the sleeping room floor near the sliding glass window, next to the bed on that side of the room and under the small sitting table. When this was reported to the front desk the response was “the room was cleaned and we don’t have any housekeepers here now”. We had not yet unpacked and were concerned that the room and bathroom were not clean. Finally, the gentleman at the front desk came with a wet mop to clean the bathroom floor and then when O showed him the loose gritty stuff on the room floor, he returned with a dust room to sweep the room. At the restaurant we ate dinner and my husband ordered dessert and told the waitress that it was my birthday. She brought us the dessert but did not say happy birthday when she put it on our table. Perhaps she forgot or didn’t understand what my husband said to her. While the view from our table was nice enough, we were not offered a table by the deck, even though there was one and the restaurant only had 2 other tables occupied during our dinner. It would have been nicer to have been given a table by the deck view and been told happy birthday.
