"Wonderful stay here, Friday 21st June, 2024. Cosy room, with all the facilities we required. Our room overlooked the river and outside drinking/dining area. This can be noisy, but it’s happy noise, adding to the atmosphere. We stayed one night as we were seeing a band at The Picturedrome, couldn’t be better placed for that. Great central place to stay for any other reason, too. The food we had was gold star stuff in our opinion, we had a dirty burger with sides a plaice with samphire, caper & pepper dressing -both wonderful. The thoughtfully provided hot chocolate and biscuits, was a quick post gig supper and the included breakfast was fantastic! I’m still full from it, while writing this, several hours later. Gorgeous. Really enjoyed our stay at The Bridge. Good security, entrance provided by Ring doorbell and night porter, after 23:00hrs. We would book to stay again. "

"We had a problem the tv didn’t work but staff sorted it straight away. WiFi hit and miss but overall very good Could do with background music in the bar "

"We stopped over night and found everyone friendly helpful and the accommodation clean and warm everything we needed. There was large function taking place which I was emailed about beforehand to let me know they had moved my room to be a little bit further away from the noise , howeve r we did not retune till midnight so it did not effect us . 10 out of 10 will recommend and stay again "

"The Elephant and Castle was well located and easy to park. Our room which had a large queen size bed was lovely and had a good size bathroom with a bath. The free full english breakfast was delicious. Will definitely stay there again if we return to Holmfirth"

"Stayed one night in a “snug double” as a solo - perfect size for me and quite comfortable. Used as a base for a local party, so didn’t use the hotel much, but enjoyed an afternoon beer in the lovely outside seating area. Came back late and a wedding do was in full flow - so quite noisy, but didn’t affect me too much, but might if you wanted a quiet night. Staff were very friendly & helpful. Included breakfast was delicious. Free parking felt safe too. Overall a nice stay. I’d choose this place again."
