We just stayed at the Leonardo Hotel Christchurch (Temple Bar area). It was clean and comfortable, and the employees were very friendly. Breakfast bar was very nice. Parking was discounted to 29euros for 24 hour and was attached to the Leonardo hotel. Easy walking distance to Christchurch, (which is across the street), Chester Beaty museum (free) and Dublin Castle (take the tour!). There's a wonderful irish pub, Darkey Kelly's Pub, with irish food and live music, also within walking distance.

Please note the housekeeping staff was excellent. The bartenders were delightful. However the room in which we were placed was overlooking the service area with scaffolding just outside the window..with daily noise and no privacy. When I requested a chChange the concierge was reluctant and did not help..suspect he didnt try, even though we saw the same type room being cleaned and reddied. Our bath was also dated and rusty around the edges. Also....no cash accepted!!!!! Definitely disappointed. On the bright side: the redt of our stay was lovely...go to Sunnys newstand for cash and asundries. Stay away from rm 334

The space was good. It was located across from Christ Church Cathedral. Overall, very clean- including the bed. My husband always checks the bed seams which were clean and in good condition. Plenty to see within walking distance, allowing us to roam around and see things. Walking distance from Temple Bar, Dublin Castle, and the River Liffey. We didn’t go to Dublinia (a Viking museum) though it was kitty corner to the hotel. We struggled to catch the bus back to the airport. Our breakfast wasn’t ready for take out in the morning- and we were rushing to get to the airport so in the end we paid for it and got nothing. The other thing that was weird is that maps showed some locations INSIDE the hotel that didn’t exist. I mentioned it to the front desk and it sounds like no one was aware. Make sure you have your own maps and GPS since the staff didn’t seem to know all the shops around the area (just the major attractions).

We were disappointed in the room. We had to unplug lights to charge our electronics. The soap dispenser didn’t dispense. Instant powdered coffee in the room. Hot room. Not what we expected at all.

The room felt a little dated to me. Not as nice as it looks in the pictures. The bathroom door closed automatically so you could not keep it open, it got a little stuffy after a shower. The room was clean and quiet and a descent size. It was within walking distance to many places. There was a pub next door. The lobby and common areas were very nice and updated. Taxis were constantly parked out front so it was easy to get a ride.

Waited an hour for my pizza, asked how much longer, waiter forgot to put order in. Ordered a sandwich in bar area, looked like a 5 year old made it. Tried to buy ice cream snack but front desk said they were too busy to ring up ice cream! I have stayed at this hotel several times before, but because of this recent experience won’t return.

We especially enjoyed the Bar/eating area with the big windows. Very convenient for a quick lunch or a glass of wine and dinner after a long day site seeing. Great location. The staff were also very helpful with an early check in, suggestions for the hop on tour. We especially enjoyed the young servers in the bar.

I love the fact of closed lobby doors after 11pm, with security right there. Excellent breakfast, dining room was excellent service, food was great. Shuttle and taxi right to the front door.

We paid double to book this hotel because coldplay was in town (we wernt going) only to get told at checkin that they had sold our room. Im assming at an even higher rate and bumped out a bunch of guests. We were sent to another hotel we had to walk to with all our luggage in the rain. Crazy!!! Would love to review the actualnhotel but we didnt make it past the door

Well-located just on the edge of Temple Bar. Bar area great, staff really friendly and willing to help with queries. Nice touch was the Coldplay cupcakes and bucks fizz in the afternoon during the Coldplay tour as that was the reason we were staying. Breakfast was also great, with lots of hot and cold food options. We had a triple room, which was OK. Beds a bit too soft, with noisy springs. Also the bathroom door is on a heavy spring, which made it impossible to go to the toilet in the middle of the night without waking up others in the room. Shampoo and shower gel are hand pumps which required about 40 pumps before you had enough to wash your hair/body. Despite requesting twice for this to be fixed it never was. Had one dinner at the hotel, which was very disappointing. They only had one red wine out of about 10 listed, none of the rosé and three out of 10 of the white wine options. No guacamole for the nachos, so we had to rethink our dinner choices. This was on a Saturday night in August, so a bit strange to say the least. It seems like the dining room in the hotel was trying to function on minimal operating cost.

The check in was good. We were over in Dublin watching Coldplay and at check in we were greeted with a glass of bucks fizz and a coldplay cup cake which was a nice touch. The room wasn't good. Aside from the view (opposite side form the view of the Cathedral (which I'm sure is much nicer) the room was hot and the cooler supplied was useless and very noisy. We didn't plan on spending too much time in the room but with hindsight we should have mentioned it earlier in our stay. The hotel is in a good location, handy for Temple Bar and other areas along the River. We only had breakfast in the hotel on the morning we were leaving and it was nice although the toaster was similar to the cooler, useless but without the noise. We paid a lot of money for the hotel although the prices were Coldplay hiked. We wouldn't stay here again purely based on the room being sauna like with no adequate cooling.
