Sonder the Earl was a great stay. Quiet for the most part but we were on the first floor and could hear everything outside with the windows open. Note there is no AC but Sonder provides a fan. Beds and from which is fantastic. The reception team was super helpful as well

Nice, clean, albeit tiny room. Stayed 5 nights, 2 of which were awful due to a very loud dance party in the back where my window faced. Friday and Saturday nights loud event began around 11pm. Had to shut the window and run the portable fan all night just be be able to sleep. Other nights were quiet. Just made it rough.

The staff was very friendly and we were able to store our bags as our flight landed at 0500. Clean room, very modern bathroom. I would definitely stay again.

The location of the property was fine. Even though it was cool outside, the room was VERY hot. We had to prop open the windows and use 2 fans that were provided in the rooms.

Advertised as a deluxe King. Bed was a queen. Bathroom sink very tiny with no counter space. No parking available. Street parking only allowed 3 hour time blocks. Public parking garage apprx. a mile away and cost 44 Euros a day. Street noise loud even a 3 AM.

We completely enjoyed our stay at Sonder the Earl. The location worked very well for us. We walked all over Dublin. The street was a little loud at night, but it is in a city neighborhood. I can't say enough about the staff!! Every one of them was so friendly and helpful, the Dublin team is number 1!!

Excellent Sonder Property..it's just something about the brand where they design the property so well. From the small details like room and reception lighting to how the whole building smells (aroma is delightful). The staff are super thoughtful even though not fully available - whenever they were- always happy to help and provided me with office chair too for my work (Thanks Nadia). Lovely housekeeping staff always asking me about supplies & towels. Modern decor in an older building - a perfect combination for a trip to Dublin. This was our 2nd Sonder visit (first was Dubai)..and it definitely won't be our last. Sonder is doing wonders with hospitality!

Warm room seems to be a problem for us and others
Overall it’s a nice place, the issue we had was the room we were in was unbearably warm. We noticed after our stay a few similar complaints have been made and the gentleman on the front desk also said that one room is known to get hot. We had a fan on and window open the entire time (January, so cold outside) and it would not cool down. Also being on a busy road it was noisy with the window closed let alone when it was opened. We managed to fall asleep on our first night but our second we could not and the heat left us feeling sick. When we complained to reception they were great and moved us to a different room which was much cooler and on the other side of the building so much quieter too. I personally don’t think they should even be selling this room with similar complaints making it clear it’s an issue or at-least put air conditioning in that one room to help with the heat. Rooms are small, the room we got moved to I believe must have been a superior room and was only the size of any other average hotel room. Our first room was very small, I bruised myself from the side table being so close and far out from the bed, staff were nice and rooms were clean but I can’t say I’d return from our experience

The Earl is located excellently - close enough to the city centre; but far enough from the very busy areas. However, there are numerous nightclubs on the street - so it can get loud at night if (1) you are in a street-facing room, (2) on the first floor, and/or (3) a light sleeper (I'm not). Those who wish to dine at their hotel cannot do so - and there is no breakfast of any kind available at the hotel. This is not an issue for me, personally - but obviously would be for someone who likes to dine at the same place they're staying! The rooms were modern, clean - but placement of the bed and other furniture created a somewhat cramped atmosphere. If you're staying in the room with another person, this can lead to moments similar to when you try to use a 'galley kitchen' as the same time as another person's attempts to cook. The best feature of this hotel was its staff - who were consistently friendly and helpful. Louisa (from Brazil) and Sinead (Irish) were two great examples. Thanks to both - and the other staff, too - for making the visit so nice, in interpersonal terms :)
