"The decor of the cottage was stunning. Beds were comfortable and the kitchen was well equipped. Location was also really good very near the beach, park, shops and cafes etc. Parking was easy right outside. I would definitely stay here again. We enjoyed lovely walks along the promenade. A few minor tweaks needed to make this a top class stay. Hairdryer and remote control not working correctly - both need replaced. Sofa was not very comfortable cushions were flat and worn. Light/ torch...

"Check in process is poor. We booked two bedrooms with one room having two double beds according to Expedia advertising and selection at the time of booking. We were never told what room number assigned to us and on Apple Wallet upon checking in online said room 4-5. When arrived, it took us 1 hour to find out that we were put in room 20 with only two king beds and on the third floor. NO elevators. This has never been stated on the website and at the time of booking. We had many heavy luggage....

"Despite a small issue getting the entrance code - apparently caused by communicating through the hotels.com message system - the stay here was perfect. It was a lovely apartment: spacious, comfortable and tastefully decorated. I’ll be back."

"The apartment was nicely updated, decent location in a beautiful Scottish fishing village. The owner was available by phone on a couple of occasions. Check-in would have been simpler with detailed information on how to work the door handle. Also, detailed description on how to use the washer/dryer combo would have save us time and the owner energy costs."

"We found a little gem Carol was a lovely host and made us feel very welcome. It had everything we needed for our stay, the shower was excellent and the bed super comfy. We were lucky to have the weather to take advantage of the patio area when we weren't out exploring the area and swimming in the local sea pool ( within walking distance). "We enjoyed our stay here very much. Our room was clean, and the facilities are nice (pool/sauna). We had a nice view from our window of the garden area, and the windows open for good ventilation. I had a bath in the room, and noticed some mould floating in the water. Which may have come from the faucets/drain - minor issue. Our bed was two single beds put together, which was fine! "Great little spot for a quiet night away, as it’s the start of the season there was evidently still work going on around the hotel, however still very quiet. The staff couldn’t have been anymore helpful if they tried, very laid back and friendly. Great value for money. The heated swimming pool, jacuzzi and sauna are great. Local shop across the road sells most things. We did have to order a takeaway in the evening, however staff provided plates ect to eat it. As far as I gather they are working on having lunch and evening meals in the near future. They do have a bakery stand that has pies & cakes ect in the bar area which I seen freshly delivered in the morning. The breakfast was made to order & they had a menu with a variety of hot foods eg. Bacon, tattie scone, haggis, veggie breakfasts, kids breakfast, cereals & eggs cooks how you like. We where pleasantly surprised instead of the usual continental as stated on booking. Quality ingredients. Would definitely visit again. "
