"Rooms were clean, staff friendly and ample parking space. Breakfast was nice, very busy and had to go in the lounge. This was more quiet than the restaurant so happy with that. Spa was a bit disappointing to others we had visited a bit smaller than usual experience. No jacuzzi which was disappointing and the sauna & steam room was very cosy."

"Where do I start? Nowhere on the opening page for booking did it say £10 a night parking, the car park is very small with other guests frequently using two bays to one car. Shower didn't work in the first room so I had to move. Second room shower was fine but there was a metallic ozone smell coming from a dodgey socket my laptop charger was plugged into which completely fried the contacts. Mouldy mini fridge, toenail clippings on the floor....don't bother staying here. Typical OYO stay."

"Unfortunately they renovating the premium room we booked and they therefore put us in a standard. Would have been nice to know that renovations would affect our booking"

"Did not appreciate being woken at 8am by the cleaner when i was working nights and only saying for 1 night why would u need to come in at 8am when i was checking out 11!!"

"Parking charges are misleading. “Additional charges for parking may be applicable” is very different from not having their own carpark & having to use the public carpark opposite the hotel with charges starting from £10 for overnight & getting ridiculous when you stay longer. Payment is taken by hotel in reception. The room I stayed in faced the road. Large clean room with the strongest water pressure I’ve come across in the UK. But the traffic noise from the road was off the scale. No double glazing, busy road, very close to the roundabout and next to a bikers pub. It was too noisy to follow a phone conversation or watch tv, never mind sleeping. The staff were lovely. "

"Clean, comfy, has everything you need for a comfortable stay not far from London and surrounding attractions. Check in was easy and it's nice and quiet. Was grateful for the kettle and supplies in the room. Only thing is the TV should have a pull out bracket as the angle was a bit strange for the bed."

"First time staying at this hotel and will be the last severe lack of stuff I may as well put the sign that they have constantly on reception saying they will be back shortly on their payroll. Time given for food service wound correct spa area is unmanned with no towels for use At at 1 am, there were other people staying in the hotel that were very drunk arguing fighting music blasting loud alongside a TV which went on until after 2 am. Again tried to contact reception not possible to get someone to come and resolve the issue. On check out the receptionist couldn’t have been any less interested and she obviously knows it’s not a good place to stay as she didn’t even ask whether to stay with them was okay"

"This used to be my school until 1982 and it has been lovingly restored into a beautiful hotel with great amenities in amazing grounds. Ample parking and a safe environment leads to a peaceful and relaxing stay. "
