"Stayed here just one night. Room 220.Hotel clean and bright,staff friendly and helpful. Bar snacks and restaurant on site with decent range of food and drinks. Leisure centre with pool. Bedroom clean and reasonably sized with tea and coffee facilities. Hair dryer and cooling fan in cupboard with extra pillows. Bed is a double and comfortable. View from window not great just the flat roof.Bathroom is good size with over bath shower. Illuminated sink mirror. Plenty of parking front and rear....

"When one drives up first impressions are "oh dear". But keeping an open mind it's a gem of a hotel. The building is ex military on a very exposed elevated position. Every member of staff was incredibly helpful and engaging. The room was comfortable and clean. Good was pretty good too and not too expensive. "

"The Hotel is immaculate and Stephen is warm and welcoming host. The Room had everything required and the Hotel Is in easy walking distance of all the restaurants & shops. Car Parking is not provided but that seems to be the general state of affairs. Weymouth. A very pleasant stay"

"Very nice place to visit, warm and stylish with wonderful food and service. Place where you can relax and enjoy a peaceful countryside life. Cottage room are very nice with own fire plce and comfy bed but smells old and damp would be nice to have some better ventilation there. Same as swimming pool and jacuzzi nice pool but very shallow, once you in jacuzzi is hard to breathe due to chlorine and bad ventilation. Pet friendly but if you with a pet you have only option to stay in the cottage...

"We thoroughly enjoyed our stay, Penny our host could not do enough for us. It was bed and breakfast and ‘WOW’ what a breakfast, so much choice and very filling. The hotel was very clean and comfortable, your room was cleaned as soon as you left. Nothing was to much trouble for Penny and she always had a smile on her face. Just for your information, anyone thinking of booking, you have to negotiate stairs, to get to all but one of the bedrooms."

"Room was very clean and tidy. More than enough space for the two of us. Tea and coffee making machine in the room, as well as a mini fridge, which was unexpected, but very welcome. A variety of breakfast items are available as well as an option for full english. Hosts Richard and Karen were very friendly and welcoming. Would definitely stay here again, and would thouroughly recommend staying at The Clarence."

"Nice big clean room but there was no light in the shower and no instructions of how the shower worked, tried for about 15 minutes but gave up in the end. Had an exceptionally nice meal in the evening and a good nights sleep. Although pre warned there was no breakfast at the pub and we had to go to a café and farm shop around the corner which wasn't brilliant as we couldn't take the dog inside the café so we had to sit outside, it was bloody cold but thankfully not raining. Everything got cold...
