Scotsman Hotel in Edinburgh. From the moment we arrived, the staff made us feel so welcome—especially Amelia, who went above and beyond to make our experience fantastic. Every staff member we met was kind and thoughtful. The breakfast was delicious, and the accommodations were incredibly comfortable—light, airy, beautifully decorated, and just perfect for relaxing. The hotel's location is unbeatable for walking from old town to the new town. One elevator was not working so we had to take an elevator to the 7th floor then walk up to the 8th floor to our room via the stairs. The morning was tough to get an elevator due to the cleaning staff. Overall, a great location, nice room and friendly staff. I probably would stay here again just for the charm despite the minor conveniences.

I stayed at the Scotsman for my last night in Scotland. The hotel is lovely and the staff was very pleasant and helpful. I also had dinner in the connected restaurant. It was also very good and had the kindest waitress. I would definitely go back…. Today if I could. It has been an amazing experience!

We had the most amazing welcome by Ivor who showed us to our room and even brought our bags for us. The room had a strange smell to it and was quite noisy with banging noises from the above floor, I think we were located underneath a bar. The room was spacious though and clean with an amazing soaking tub.

The staff were exceptional—welcoming, friendly, and genuinely helpful, which made our first trip to Scotland feel even more special. We also felt very secure throughout our stay. The hotel has a reassuring atmosphere, and everything from the building to the room access felt safe and well managed. The location couldn’t have been better. We had easy access to all the major attractions, restaurants, and sights, which made exploring Edinburgh effortless. We would highly recommend The Scotsman to anyone visiting the area. If we return to Scotland, we’ll definitely hope to stay here again.
