"Pros: The nearness to the beach and the easy access to everything by foot
The absence of sports bars, sunday roasts, costa coffee etc
Cons: No where to sit out comfortably with the evening sunshine"

"Had a great stay overall, and the reception staff were always extremely helpful and approachable. We had a crisis with my wife breaking her arm, which extended our stay 4 days, but the hotel did absolutely everything they could to help. This is the hotel you want to be at in a crisis! :) Special thanks to Myriam and her team
Highlights
- Buffet food is excellent with a wide variety of fresh food (meats, salads, cheese, desserts etc). Not quite sure where any negative reviews come from on this. It might get repetitive if you’re just looking for pizza and chips!
- General vibe around the hotel is great, a there are plenty of places to spend your time. We particularly liked lagoon pool.
- Grounds are immaculately kept and are beautiful.
- Nice walkable paths around Playa Paraiso coast
- The drinks are excellent on the all inclusive. The wines/cava are good and the cocktails (alcoholic and non-alc) are definitely a step up from a lot of 5 star hotels.
- Rooms are kept spotless and are modern in line with Hard Rock theme.
- great panoramic view from the 16th bar. Drinks could probably be slightly less expensive for the signature cocktails.
- catered for wife’s coeliac (gluten) condition and walked through all available.
Improvements
- sometimes music is a bit loud around pools, so difficult to relax, though this seemed to relax a bit later in the week.
- Loads of sunbeds close to each other, but it’s a big hotel, so expected.

"The hotel is spotless and staff are friendly and hardworking.
Room furniture is old style, yet perfectly functional, mattress was comfy and linen pristine. Junior suite is massve, we were told we had an upgrade however the suite we got is what we had booked.
We went AI and while the selection wasnt massive, it more than met our needs. As a vegan, there was oat and soya milk and plenty of vegetable dishes, with chickpeas or lentils on most menus. AI drinks wete fine bar closed at 10:30.
Pool area is lovely and theres enough activities to get involved in if you wish.
Evening entertaient was good fun, although poorly attended.
All in all, this was a lovely wee break in the sun. Would go again."
"Everything was excellent - ocean view from the balcony, perfect location - close to the beach and pedestrian walk that goes by multiple beaches both directions. Hotel has parking for extra charge, but it has good discount for hotel guests. Room was clean and hotel staff was very friendly."
"This is a luxurious resort hotel with numerous restaurants, swimming pools etc. The amenities are excellent - particularly the restaurant, and the staff are friendly and professional."
"Could not fault the cleanliness of the whole hotel and complex. The staff were fantastic, very friendly on a very professional level nothing was a problem. I only had three things I would give feed back on. One was a night time noise started around 3am, sounded like a pump or air con. We had turned ours off. We were in room 118. The second was lunch if you are all inclusive its not just the snack bar it is the buffe so don't miss out. The third was the food it was cooked perfectly there was plenty, lots of choice but it was all very bland. It needs more seasoning some fresh chillies just to perk it up. These are not criticism just feed back. I would not hesitate to recommend Barcelo' Tenerife can not wait to return "
"I came for four nights in January with a couple of friends and we loved it here. The staff are all lovely, the apartments are spacious and very clean. We only paid for the breakfast so cant comment on the rest of the food but I was inpressed by the breakfast, there was absolutely loads of choice. It was handy to then be able to prepare our lunch in the apartment and eat out in the evenings.
The pool is a good size and i love that theres a little private beach too.
Loved it and would 100% come again"
