"Good location, lovely helpful staff. Plenty of lounge space and bar area. Yummy cocktails. Our room and bathroom were spacious and had an iron and hairdryer. Didn't like the digital check in as it had a glitch which meant we couldn't get our room number and had to wait a long time at reception as staff were very busy. Our room was clean but the windows of our room were filthy so hard to see out well. Some of soft furnishings tired and worn ."

A minor point overall, but the rooms could do with a refresh - some still have painted anaglypta type wallpaper and poorly concealed cables in the walls. It’s nothing that a bit of stripping down, skimming and repainting wouldn’t sort out and the rooms would look so much more appealing."

"For the price point it is a good value stay. Room was basic, but bed was comfy and bedding clean. Slightly wiffy smell from the sink, shared bathroom shower needs a scientific degree to get the temperature at Goldilocks level because a micro amount of movement on the control meant Artic cold or Molten Lava hot! Breakfast was OK, but running out of sausages is a basic stock issue! All staff were very polite, and having the 24 hr reception meant my key was safe. I would stay again. 👍"
