"This was our first time staying here and it certainly won't be our last. The shepherd's hut is beautifully decorated and has such a cosy and comfortable feel to it. The under floor heating kept it lovely and warm too despite the snow outside (which also made it super pretty). The outside space was so private and had a fantastic view over the fields and to the hills beyond. Our favourite thing was sitting out at night by the fire pit and relaxing, looking up at the stars. "Our expectations were by far exceeded with this lovely hotel. All the staff that we came across was helpful, friendly and so efficient. We spent the afternoon on Saturday in the Nelson and enjoyed a delicious lunch. The receptionist was welcoming and warm and very helpful with queries and organising a little suprise in our room. The room was clean, well equipped and very nicely presented. The bed was bit on the hard side but this is probably down to personal preference more than anything else. We had a meal in the palm court which was so beautiful and felt very special with the pianist playing and singing. The pool and changing rooms could do with a bit of updating but it was clean and warm so would happily use again. On the whole this place is an absolute gem where you are made to feel special, would happily stay again. "
