The only thing to note is the Shower Room is a little tight but, you do not stay in the Shower Room and this should not put you off staying. "Our room was very characterful with lovely old floorboards and nice padded chairs. Super king sized bed (very comfortable). Nice selection of drinks with specialised fruit teas and hot chocolate provided in the room. Overall the accommodation is very spacious and full of period charm. The staff are very welcoming and friendly. The Hotel is well placed for days out to Powis Castle, lake Vyrnwy, Barmouth and many local RSPB reserves. I recommend the vegan curry."

To give her space and time to settle in, I stayed at Brownhill House each time she had a day off, for her first few weeks, and travelled myself in between visits (to show her that if Mum can do it, then so can she!). "From start to finish, Tracy and Jerry could not do enough. Their beautiful home was so welcoming and comfortable, it was a pleasure to stay there. The breakfast was extensive and fabulous and so tasty too! They had covered all the small touches and nothing was too much trouble. "This is an excellent B and B. Clean, quiet, safe, affordable and comfortable. It is a bit remote, in a little village, so do take care when driving to it. Our Driving app directed us through some single lane, gravel roads because that was the shortest way. But you don’t have to do that, as we discovered. "

"Lovely b&b. Fantastic 3 course meal. Highly recommended. Kate is a super host. But the two dogs beg at the breakfast/dinner table. They need to be kept in a separate room while guests are eating. Breakfast was disappointing. Cooked breakfast consisted of 2 streaky bacon,burnt sausage and a fried egg with yolk overcooked. Make sure you ask how you want your eggs cooked. First morning we asked for scrambled egg which were perfect! Also the bedroom door needs a proper key lock on it. Everything...

"Very slow check in, card machine not working so had to write my card details down on a piece of paper (not sure this is compliant with GDPR). No iron available. Paid £15 for breakfast thinking it was a cooked breakfast but was only continental consisting of a box of cereal, a piece of ham, 2 pieces of cheese, rock hard crusty roll and a jar of strawberries. Drove 5 minutes down the road and got 2 full English breakfasts for £16. There was no shower gel and only half a toilet roll left for us....

"Lovely place with beautiful authentic styling. Staff were super friendly and welcoming. Super breakfast in a gorgeous breakfast room that also does afternoon tea. Lots of hot water, great selection of tea / coffee - with biscuits. Bed comfy enough. Road noise may bother some. Close to Chester and Cheshire Oaks outlet - but you would need a car or taxi."

"It’s not worth the price we paid, we booked for 11 person but the bed can only accommodate 10 person that my son end up sleeping on the floor , upstrair toilet floor is leaking down to the kitchen, we emailed the host on the first day but no reply til we check out, So we have to share the the down floor toilet, the hot tub is dirty that we end up cleaning for us to be able to use, dusty and loads of cubweds in one of the bedroom downstairs."
