"Easy to park. Wife would give it 4 stars. 6 yr old would give 5 stars for the rock climbing wall. No lift for 2nd floor rooms and would have life more space to open suitcases but overall nice place to stay."

"This is a little gem of a place! Takeru-san is a wonderful and kind host. The space is warm and welcoming, clean and bright. Our Japanese style triple room was peaceful and so comfortable. The shower is great. We met other travelers in the common area. I think this might have been my favorite stay in Japan. I would come back here just to stay at Couch Potato 😀. Thank you to the hosts!"

"This was a hidden gem, and the staff was better than anywhere I have been. The location is very secluded, but it has an environment of nature. Love the people that work there. My only complaint was a short stay and wanted more time. Definitely next time."

"Visited for a trip around Lake Suwa and oh boy, this hotel is something special, I had the private onsen in the room and it was one of the most relaxing part of my trip in Japan. They also offered public a onsen for hotel guests and you can also book that to have that one private. Over all can't recommend this hotel enough, staff was friendly and breakfast was excellent if you want a taste of a traditional Japanese meal. "Very easy process to self check in, room spotless, great free drinks options, excellent breakfast (would recommend getting double portion of 'toast', which is delivered to your door at specified time (you must choose order before 11pm). Great location next to lake front. Would def stay again 😎"

"Absolutely amazing experience. The room had a Onsen bath on the balcony overlooking the lake. The service included dinner and breakfast in a private room with amazing local food and a lovely waitress who spoke decent English and explained every dish to us. There is also a lovely open rooftop Onsen. The room is large and very comfortable like an apartment. All of the staff were amazing. Fantastic "
