Stayed there for a long weekend in October. Very lucky with the weather. Hotel is very central. We got the bus from the airport and walked from the nearest stop. Hotel room was excellent and very clean. Added bonus of having a bath! Only served breakfast which had an excellent choice. Would definitely stay there again if we returned. Lots of great restaurants nearby - spoilt for choice.
When we finally found the hotel, no help from TomTom here as the roads are closed to the private car and the immediate area has been pedestrianised, we were very pleased with the hotel and surprised at its 2* rating as it deserves much better than that.
The staff were extremely helpful, parking the car is more of an issue but directions to an underground Car Park were given which is about 15 minutes walking time.
It was our second stay at the hotel, and although the room was quiet, the whole place impressed this time as somewhat shabby for what we paid. The carpets in the corridors are old, stained and dirty, the room's furniture is downright dilapidated.
The breakfast is good, with eggs, bacon and croissants. Juice is average bottled. Coffee OK. The room has a minibar. WiFi worked well.
The hotel has a unique advantage of being very quiet in a typically noisy Italian city, while its location is quite central. The hotel has a beautiful small garden. Having a quiet sleep is a huge commodity this days, so we may stay there again in the future. However it gets expensive for the quality of other comforts there.
This was a lovely hotel. We drove to the hotel and had trouble finding it because it was just off the Piazza Nettuno, packed with pedestrians and various officials; after 3 laps we found the hotel. It proved to be a perfect location with knowledgeable and helpful staff. The room was spacious and comfortable.

Cannot fault this hotel in any way. We've stayed in many hotels all over Europe and have to say this is one of the vest. The room was very 'different' (room 42) - having its very own balcony overlooking the bedroom area! The shower was wonderful and the facilities were exellent. The concierfe/porter/receptionist was a lovely chap - very helpful and nothing was too much trouble. The walk into the 'main' city area was a bit of a distance, but well worth it as its situation was quiet. Take a good pair of comfortable walking shoes/trainers/boots for the city itself!

Famed for its medieval towers, Bologna's well-preserved historic center is where visitors can climb the Asinelli Tower for panoramic views of the city's red-tiled rooftops, including the Basilica of San Petronico on Piazza Maggiore. Extending from the piazza, over 40 km of porticos provide shelter for pedestrians. About a 10-minute stroll east, the venerable University of Bologna dates to 1088.
