"Staff was friendly, room was extremely clean and the beds were comfortable! Reason for the lost star was the lobby had a sewage smell that sometimes came to our second floor room. I also couldn’t recommend the spa as we had a very negative experience, quality of the actual service was less than we’d come to expect from the off the street services in the city and the spa staff were very rude throughout and were pushy for tip after. We are pretty sure they were called in and not on staff so I can’t say if your experience will be the same or not."

"There are no words to clearly convey the wonderful experience I had during my stays at La Siesta Classic Ma May in Hanoi over the two weeks of my travel in Vietnam. I stayed THREE different occasions. When I first arrived in Hanoi I stayed three nights. On my transfer from Hoi An to Ninh Binh I stayed one night. And the last night of my travels in Vietnam I stayed one night. First, know that you will NOT or SHOULD NOT have any disappointments. Location is perfect!!! La Siesta Classic Ma May is right in the center of everything. Within walking distance to the water puppet show, spas, eating places, the night market and night life with coffee shops all around. Atmosphere is inviting, calm, relaxing, welcoming, top notch professionalism, and full with kind service. Good energy atmosphere. Quality customer service. Upon arrival they greet you warmly, invite you to sit as they prepare your paperwork for your room then serve you a refreshment. Ane is or must be the face of La Siesta Classica Ma May. Even while pregnant in her 8th month her service was top notch. Taking time to genuinely and warmly converse with me, make me tea to help me sleep well, ensuring my needs were met. She is a lovely asset to there front desk staff team. The overall value is unmatched & worth it. No complaints about that at all. Overall rating is definitely a FIVE STAR. I cannot believe they are only a four star rated hotel. They are highly recommended by me and they will see me again next year."

"From our arrival the service is spot on; with very short notice staff May was able to accommodate my requests and schedule my activities throughout our stay according to my preferences; even the hotel accommodation and transportation were all arranged; and yes May also didn't forget that i preferred 2 bed in the room when arranging overnight stay in Sapa. Best part is their breakfast buffet, it seems the menu changes daily and the view is fantastic. You can even asked for prepacked breakfast if your itinerary starts early.. 5 star!"

"Wake up early for a fresh breakfast. Everyday they have slight changes to the buffet, but the main course stays the same. Good drinks , good aircon , the skybar is open air. They also have an indoor bar for aircon lovers . The main reason I gave 5 stars is the helpful staff. The hotel is right in the middle of all the action . If your flight arrives in weekend , it will be a headache taking your luggage into that street since it’s closed. No cars can go through . Just fyi. But if you call the staff ; they’ll probably go all the way to the end of the street to help . Good bed"

"An Absolutely Perfect Stay in Hanoi – Highly Recommended! The Proverb Hotel is excellent, located right in the heart of Hanoi's vibrant Old Quarter. From the moment we arrived, the staff were absolutely amazing—super helpful, welcoming, and always smiling. Our room was incredibly comfortable, spotlessly clean, and spacious, featuring a fantastic mattress that made for a great night's sleep. Breakfast each morning was wonderful, offering plenty of choices for everyone alongside excellent coffee. We had a seamless, great experience all the way through. We also booked two excursions directly through the hotel reception: a trip to Ninh Binh and a Ha Long Bay Cruise, both operated by Heritage Travel. We highly recommend both trips! The guides and organizers were fantastic. Thank you to the wonderful team at Proverb Hotel for making our trip so memorable!"
