"I enjoyed my stay here. The place is one of a kind and each room is unique. I was reluctant at first because of the shared bathroom, but I never had issues when I needed to use it. There is also an additional bathroom outside that I didn’t read about or see until my last night. The outdoor hot tub and shower were all placed uniquely in the back of the property amongst nature. The location is super remote and takes some patience trying to find, but you stay here for that reason — off the beaten path. The grounds indoors and out were well maintained. The artwork at the entrance and books inside are provocative and edgy which matches the vibe of the place. The kitchen, dining area, living room and patio were spacious enough for those who want to be alone. Locks are provided on every room door for security. There is a house cat that lurked around. Not a fan, an allergic, but that was minor compared to the beauty of the place. Complimentary snacks are provided in the room, however some water in the kitchen for guests would have been good. Highly recommend "

"A not so hidden gem with a rustic plantation ambiance. Lush surroundings, great parking, friendly staff, convenient to Volcano National Park. The 1/2 mile loop trail behind the property was a fun morning picker-upper to get the day started. It’s a little quirky that the guest check-in is in the gift shop, very laid back but service is wonderful. The restaurant is top notch and the portions are reasonable for the price. No tv in room which we did miss after a hard hike at Volcano, but not a deal breaker. in room gas stove was a cozy plus. The only thing we wish was different is the shower. The bathroom was plenty big but the single stand in shower was tight. Did appreciate the towel warmer . The night air was filled with coqui whistlings but we got used to it. Highly recommend and would stay again. "

"Near the volcano, which is why we picked it. Reasonable price, near the village and the volcano house. The room was large and fairly clean. The frogs kept us awake, but we got used to them. Very responsive hosts, there is no host at the lodge, but there are plenty of supplies if you run out of towels or coffee, or anything you can usually get from a hotel. The neighborhood seems safe. The store down the road had most anything you need. There’s a laundry at the true value store down the road. "

"Perfect cozy cabin retreat! The surrounding foliage and frogs were as quintessential rainforest vibes as it comes. Such a quiet spot to relax, put your feet up by the fire, and enjoy time with friends and nature. Mahalo for sharing your home with us! "

"Lehua looked great in the add and was far better in person. We loved our stay-and seriously considered asking if we could stay longer. “LLC” had everything we needed and more-we were able to cook all our meals in a delightfully comfortable setting. Coqui frogs, though invasive, were a lovely treat to fall asleep to at night. We were unbelievably close to Volcanoes NP, for the fountaining lava and close enough to summit Mauna Kea! We are deeply grateful to our hosts thoughtful outfitting of Lehua. The highlight of our vacation! "
