Excellent location, breakfast and room size. The beds are starting to show some wear, but it didn’t prevent us sleeping soundly. Yes, I would recommend…especially in off-season which allowed us to find parking in from of the property.
Large comfy room. Bathroom had a large bath tub which was most welcome. Served hot breakfast as well as buffet fruit, cereals etc. was terrific. The breakfast server was extremely polite and friendly.
I would recommend this property.
Great location. I should have requested a room not on the 2nd floor though as it was tough on my elderly mother.
Breakfast was average. Fresh fruit is great but nicer if it’s ripe and freshly cut. Poached eggs were served on a plate that was so hot the eggs ended up solid. But staff were fabulous
It is smack dab in the middle of Kenmore with all the restaurants and shops. We were able to park our 9 passenger van in any spot in town we could find and did not have to move it during our stay.
My stay at O’Donnabhains was amazing! The service was fantastic and Jer goes above and beyond to ensure you’re looked after. We had dinner downstairs at the pub where there was live music, food was delicious and atmosphere was lively & fun.
O’Donnabhains & the town of Kenmare is one of the top places I visited as I travelled and will definitely return one day, don’t miss this authentic Irish town!
Property in a great area for food & music. At reception were given poor info about where we could park - they couldn't be bothered taking a few moments to explain that it was all on the street parking
I had no idea Kenmare would be the highlight of my Ireland vacation. I wish we booked more days at O'Donnabhains. We were greeted by "Jer" and he was so accommodating and helpful. We had dinner at the bar and the food and staff were great. We loved this place and hope to go back in the future. Highly recommend.
We were traveling to Ireland with 3 Seniors. Wanted to stay in a place that was walkable to everything.... this place (and across the street at Folley's, were exactly that! Owned by the same family, we felt like we were extended family to both establishments. FUN FUN FUN, all day all night! Safe to walk around late in the area.
The location was good. The property was very middle of the road. The breakfast service was very good.

This is a fun place to stay. The rooms are a floor above a great pub with wonderful ambience and good food. Busy but friendly. We were not bothered by the noise upstairs.
Street parking only but free and available nearby.
The owners Jer and Vanessa were so friendly. Always lots of tips for sightseeing and general chat, even when they were obviously very busy serving the excellent breakfasts. Brilliant location to explore Kenmare and the surrounding area. Friendly staff in the bar. We loved the open fire, and the meal in there was good too.
Spacious room and comfortable bed. A perfect stay.
Lovely, lively pub with rooms above. Right in the heart of Kenmare so location couldn't be better for pubs, restaurants and shops. Room was comfortable but could do with a bit of updating. Special shout out to Vanessa who offered fantastic service each morning as she served an excellent breakfast. A ray of sunshine she was to start the day.
Room a wee bit tired, but hey it’s a pub and it was clean and comfortable. Breakfast was off the scale excellent with friendly smiling service and first class ingredients. Only downside was the Wi-Fi which was awful. Not really acceptable in this day and age.

Lovely welcoming people. Allowed us to check in early as we were off and International flight.
Very nice location. Great for quick stopover in Kerry.
Great location and price. Included breakfast every morning was a great way to start the day. The place itself is above a pub and is a little dated and needs a deep clean but was sufficient for our needs.
Wonderful staff , very helpful, breakfast superb , fun place , drawbacks : please , please change your mattresses! Very uncomfortable, and steep stairs to rooms . Not for the elderly ! No lift
A great place. Very friendly staff. The room was very spacious and clean. Not the least bit cramped. Including the washroom. The beds were sufficient The bar and backyard beer garden is a lovely place. The breakfast was fabulous. Loved the choices if you were not “up to” a full,Irish breakfast. It was served in a very friendly, cheery manner every morning. Be aware that if you have elders or people with mobility issues, the stairs may be a challenge. Ask for a room on the first level so you only have one set of stairs to manage. I would definitely recommend this place and stay again
I've stayed at O'Donnabhains a couple times during my visits. Always a fun place to stay with good food and great bar and music. The staff is wonderful and the rooms are clean. Just a wonderful gem in Kenmare.
Pleasantly surprised to stay above a busy pub and our room was a quiet retreat. Jer and his wife are excellent hosts. Pubs, shops and restaurants are bountiful on Henry Street.
We loved our stay in Kenmare. We stayed on a Monday night so the pub wasn’t offering food but they told us where we could get food in town and there were plenty of options. The family room was perfect and breakfast in the morning was outstanding!
The staff were very friendly, both in the pub and for breakfast in the morning. We had a nice dinner by the fire in the pub. Great location, and we were able to find a parking spot right in front for easy unloading and loading of our bags. I love Kenmare and would stay at O’Donnabhain’s again.
